Historia
With both of her parents dead, Princess Selene and her two surviving brothers are left at the mercy of their captors, taken from Egypt and put on display as war trophies in Rome. Trapped in an empire that reviles her heritage and suspects her faith, Selene struggles for survival in a court of intrigue. She can't hide the hieroglyphics that carve themselves into her hands nor can she stop the emperor from using her powers for his own ends.

Wow that was …. Bad
Revisado: 09-26-23
I see why it was a free book. Felt like the author wants to make a fantasy book but isn’t creative enough to make there own characters so they stick to history. There’s also something about all the free audible books that make all the narrators sound robotic.

Historia
Jonathan Lambshead stands to inherit his deceased grandfather’s overstuffed mansion - a veritable cabinet of curiosities - once he and two schoolmates catalog its contents. But the three soon discover that the house is filled with far more than just oddities: It holds clues linking to an alt-Earth called Aurora, where the notorious English occultist Aleister Crowley has stormed back to life on a magic-fueled rampage across a surreal, through-the-looking-glass version of Europe replete with talking animals (and vegetables).

I can’t believe I wasted 22hours
Revisado: 06-02-23
For being such a lengthy book it got nowhere and ended on cliffhangers. I also couldn’t tell you what a single character looks like due to poor description and so many new and seemingly useless characters. There was barely any plot left by the end I forgot what everyone was doing and frankly couldn’t care about anything going on.

Historia
Linda, an anxious and restless American, has moved to São Paulo, with her husband, Dennis, who has accepted a yearlong professorship. As Dennis submerges himself in his work, Linda finds herself unmoored and adrift, feeling increasingly disassociated from her own body. Linda’s unwavering and skilled maid, Marta, has more claim to Linda’s home than Linda can fathom. Marta, who is struggling to make sense of complicated history and its racial tensions, is exasperated by Linda’s instability.

Couldn’t get past an hour
Revisado: 05-25-23
The storyline was boring and Linda kept referring to her husband as “you” which I personally can not stand. No depth to characters.
