Historia
Molly Gray is not like everyone else. She struggles with social skills and misreads the intentions of others. Her gran used to interpret the world for her, codifying it into simple rules that Molly could live by. Since Gran died a few months ago, twenty-five-year-old Molly has been navigating life’s complexities all by herself. No matter—she throws herself with gusto into her work as a hotel maid. Her unique character, along with her obsessive love of cleaning and proper etiquette, make her an ideal fit for the job.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Improve your street smarts
Revisado: 05-05-12
What did you love best about Reminiscences of a Stock Operator?
Author describes his mindset, beliefs, and strategy toward stock speculation.
What other book might you compare Reminiscences of a Stock Operator to and why?
Compare this with Warren Buffet's most recent biography Snowball and notice the different stock approaches.
Have you listened to any of Rick Rohan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Very talented reader.
Any additional comments?
Would recommend this to those who want to better understand the Wall Street game. While few will read this and actually become proficient stock manipulators -- it does give some useful history and food for thought. If stocks interest you I would also recommend any books by the following authors: Berstein or Bogle. You may also try: A Random Walk Down Wall Street or Beating the Street.

Historia
The Myth: If you get into a good college, study hard, and graduate with excellent grades, you will be pretty much set for a successful career. The Reality: The biggest thing you won't learn in college is how to succeed professionally. Some of the smartest, most successful people in the country didn't finish college. None of them learned their most critical skills in an institution of higher education. And like them, most of what you'll need to learn to be successful you'll have to learn on your own, outside of school.

Good introduction to memory techniques
Revisado: 01-22-12
What will this book do for you?
It will introduce you to mnemonic techniques -- including linking, visualization, memory palaces, and phonetic.
It will recommend lifestyle fixes that will maximize your memory -- including sleeping right, eating right, and thinking right.
The reader is a seasoned voice professional and his speaking will keep you engaged.
If you are looking for a more detailed treatment of memory I would recommend "Your Memory: How It Works" by Kenneth Higbee. If you are looking for a story about memory I would recommend "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Joshua Foer. The former you can only find on Amazon but the latter is available on Audible.
This piece will give you a good introduction. If you read it through a few times you can ingrain the principles. Then give it a few months to start using these techniques on a daily basis. If you follow this process -- by using this book alone -- you will possess a better memory than 95% of the people you come into contact with.

For the beginner and master alike. This book will offer an excellent introduction as well as dispel many of the myths associated with real estate. This book also offers an excellent introduction to personal finance for the novice real estate investor.
I have listened to all the books on real estate currently offered by Audible. This book is by far the best. I have listened to it five times all the way through. The steps it outlines are conservative, field tested, and relevant.
It makes the highly complicated process seem easy.

Good General Information
Revisado: 01-22-12
If you are considering marriage I would recommend this book. It will give you a good solid introduction. It will also let you know your pre-marriage options: careful screening of spouse, back-ground checks, and pre-nuptials (or "the life-jacket" as the author describes it).
If you are currently going through a divorce you may also find this book helpful. The author describes the importance of selecting a good attorney, how to manage your attorney once you have one, and the various and sundry details one must know while going through this difficult process.
If you have already been divorced and are considering re-marriage then you will probably find this book an empathetic shoulder to cry on.
There are drawbacks. The reader is poor. He mis-speaks many times and then pauses and slowly repeats the sentence. This annoys. Many of the speakers the author brings in (Louis Black, Montel Williams, Gene Simmons) add an oddball view on marriage -- relevant only to a few.
The author also has a tendency to go on long diatribes about his dislike of the legal system and recommends that all those who annoy him to "up their dosage."
In general I think you will find this book helpful. It is hard to get useful information about this important subject. This book will provide much of it.

Historia
The classic best seller by Benjamin Graham, perhaps the greatest investment advisor of the 20th century, The Intelligent Investor has taught and inspired hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Since its original publication in 1949, Benjamin Graham's book has remained the most respected guide to investing, due to his timeless philosophy of "value investing".

Condensed classic
Revisado: 08-07-11
The Intelligent Investor is a mainstay of the finance literature. Warren Buffett -- one of the world's richest men and an acolyte of Graham -- is said to have read this book dozens of times until he could recite much of the book.
The original text edition is hundreds of pages long. The audiobook is just over two hours. How can a very fat book then lose so much weight in the audio version and remain healthy? I personally own and have read from cover to cover the full book. Comparing the full text with this audiobook, there is no doubt the abridgment takes away a lot of the flavor and substance. Many of Graham's lessons are lost. Plus, in my text edition every chapter has an additional commentary from Jason Zweig (a Graham disciple and author of "The Intelligent Investor" column in the Wall Street Journal). This edition does not have any commentary and only has the most basic of Graham's lessons.
Despite the drawbacks I would recommend this audiobook. As far as I know this is the best audio version of Graham's work. The audio includes Graham's most enduring lessons like the investor vs. speculator distinction, 'Mr. Market' metaphor, defensive vs. aggressive investors, and the basics of his enduring investing philosophy.
I also find this audio convenient for reference. Due to its brevity an intelligent investor can quickly review Graham's investing basics during a longer car ride and regain some comfort during bear markets (I recently re-listened to this. For reference: this review is being written 8/7/11). You cannot beat Graham for his erudition, clear writing style, and great recommendations. For those of you who have not yet read this book you will find that Graham's words are like mothers milk for your net-worth.
