Historia
Katie Kuhlmann’s marriage is falling apart. But she has a secure job, her children are healthy, and her house, a new construction in the prestigious Country Club neighborhood of Edina, Minnesota, is beautiful. She can almost ignore the way her husband, Jack, has been acting—constantly checking his phone, not going to work, disappearing from the house only to show up again without explanation. Tension in the Kuhlmann house only gets worse when Adam “Bagman” Ross, a mutual friend from college, happens to be in the neighborhood and in need of a place to stay.

Could of done without the leftist propaganda but other than that a decent story. Just an fyi "white guy trump supporters" weren't the demographic commiting crimes against Asian people, there's hundreds of videos that prove otherwise 😉

All Killer, No Filler!
Revisado: 04-28-23
Wow! this could have easily been split into 3 separate books. If you're looking for non stop action this is definitely the book for you! Hopefully this gets optioned and made into a TV series.

Historia
Veteran reporter Jack McEvoy has taken down killers before, but when a woman he had a one-night stand with is murdered in a particularly brutal way, McEvoy realizes he might be facing a criminal mind unlike any he's ever encountered. Jack investigates - against the warnings of the police and his own editor - and makes a shocking discovery that connects the crime to other mysterious deaths across the country. I always find myself plowing through every Connelly release in a few days tops! Gripping story, never lags or feels tedious and sets up the next book in the series perfectly! Definitely recommend

Big Fan Of This Series...
Revisado: 05-08-19
However the first 2 hours (or so) of this book are PAINFUL to get through. The constant whining, crying & shrieking (lany's narrator) by all of the main characters about how broken, depressed & beaten down they are by past events gets completely over bearing and almost made me throw the towel in and delete this book from my library. On a brighter note if you find the strength to get through those first 2 hours the rest of the book is AWESOME and a great installment within this series.

I thought I had everything figured out at least 10 different times lol, also liked how the author had Finn thinking what the listeners were no doubt thinking. The story may have dragged a tad bit at points but the pay off was SUPER WORTH IT!

Historia
As an amateur PI with a bent moral compass, Ash McKenna is good at finding people - but not at staying out of trouble. Between his own violent tendencies, the shadow cast by his father's death, and a self-destructive revenge quest, he made a mess of his life in NYC. Figuring it was time for a change of scenery Ash relocated to Portland, taking a job as a bouncer in a vegan strip club. And he hasn't had to hit anyone in six months. So when one of the club's dancers asks Ash for help finding her daughter, he declines, content to keep the darkness in his past.

Revisado: 11-20-17
For fans of Bosch, Hap & Leonard etc... this book/series is a winner. This is a dude book for dudes & you can tell the streets, fighting, drugs & gangs are not foreign to the author. To take a quote from this book its not a "story by a nerd for nerds that have never been in a fist fight" if you have some real life experience this is the series for you.

Historia
Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

Historia
Oslo in November. The first snow of the season has fallen. A boy named Jonas wakes in the night to find his mother gone. Out his window, in the cold moonlight, he sees the snowman that inexplicably appeared in the yard earlier in the day. Around its neck is his mother’s pink scarf. Hole suspects a link between a menacing letter he’s received and the disappearance of Jonas’s mother - and of perhaps a dozen other women, all of whom went missing on the day of a first snowfall. As his investigation deepens, something else emerges: he is becoming a pawn....

WAY to long & WAY to predictable

If you can't figure out who the snowman is after the first cpl chapters then god bless you. this book is also about 7 hours to long & has way to many inconsequential characters.
