Kate can see the future, which makes being like everybody else nearly impossible. In spite of her special gift, Kate is forbidden to alter the future in any way, no matter what she sees. Her only chance at living a somewhat normal life is to drink lavender tea, the only remedy that stops the visions.

Beautiful story about coming of age and being yourself

Loved the way the setting was described in such detail that I felt I was in Mystic River. Kates journey can apply to any teenager trying to fit in and figuring out that being yourself is the best way to be. Great character development. Loved the book and highly recommend it
