SPOILER: He's gay and Madonna's a bitch. Surprise!!

Still, an interesting book. His voice kind of bugged me, because it's very low pitched. But if you like celeb tell alls, it's not bad. Not depressing - it has a cool tone.

One notch below My Horizontal Life

I gave her first book 4 stars - it was really a fun listen.

This one gets lower marks because it's just not quite as funny. The stories drag just a little, in places. And you can't help but feel a little sad about a few of them.

Also, I preferred the other narrator to Chelsea herself, who narrates this. But one is no better than the other - I just liked the other girl's style.

Other than those minor things - this book was pretty enjoyable.

I don't love her TV show - but this book was hilarious. I plan to go back and listen to it again. The narrator seems bland at first - but it ends up working very well, because it lets the stories shine through. (Chelsea herself narrated her next book, and it made me miss this narrator.)

I was laughing out loud at work. If you can get past the fact that she lies to people - the lies and the ensuing situations are very entertaining.
You have to be a little bit crass and smutty to really enjoy the book though.

When I want chick lit, I want something that doesn't get too emotional. This book fits the bill. Entertaining enough - not my favorite chick lit, but not a bad storyline. There are a couple of lovable characters. The main girl is just like any other main character in chick lit.

My major problem was that Eliza Dushku's narration was distracting and full of (sorry, Eliza fans) bad voice acting. I'd rather a professional voice actor narrate it, as her raspy voice got more and more distracting over time. It made it harder to follow the story - which is saying something, since it's not exactly Shakespeare.

Still, overall, not a waste of money.

If you are going through a break up, get the Greg Behrendt book, "It's Called a Break-up Because It's Broken." I know, you are suspicious of that book. And if you already have it - listen to it again instead of buying this book.

This one is full of bitter fluff. She is a little harsh, and really it's a very self-serving book. The author idolizes Dr. Phil, which makes sense in light of her advice. In her 30 Day solution - she gives you the first 3 days to cry. She uses trite advice like "To belittle is to be little." I got very little out of it, and actually had to fight believing some of the bad and unsettling advice she gave.
