purchased this as one of those, "meh, if I get bored," kind of books. Regretting that I waited so long to listen. I'm sure people on that back road hwy thought this little Hispanic girl last her mind while laughing uncontrollably in her car. I speak sarcasm, this spoke to me.

I've decided to delve into some self help and awareness books. I was hoping there would be more of the science and effects of the 3 day effect in this book. However, this book is premature of the science, more of theory. Overall, enjoyed some stories, but not something I would revisit

Redundant, but good infor

This is my first book by Robert Kiyosaki. While there is certainly a lot of information, most of it seems to be drowned out by stories. As an author, I do love a good story. But it felt out of place here. Certainly took away great information which has lead me into learning more about real estate investing, but probably won't listen to more book as reviews state they are much of the same.

There was a lot of information for a first time possible real estate investor. I took away a lot, but was overwhelmed about halfway through. I will listen again in the future and take notes. But first run has me shaken. Overall, the book is very comprehensive. Have a pen and paper ready

slow confusing start

this is the third time trying this book. I love Palahniuk's other works, but this one left me bored right up front. This third time I pushed through on Audible, and I really pushed through!! The last three chapters tied it all together and alas it made sense. Give me an ending. Flash.

cross between YA and adult

The narration was fine, minus the points where you could hear where it was edited. the sound would change, but was only jarring for a moment.

The story seemed very YA, which is fine, as I love everything. but one scene toward the end with the mom and dad felt out of place, and moved it to maybe PG-13. Nothing gratuitous, but really had no place in the story. Overall, an okay read for an Audible selection. Felt the sci-fi aspect could use a one up though, maybe some quirky high tech weaponry, even if it's in the '40's, to add that evolved species feel.

where's the climax

1. Not entirely sure how this is steampunk. it seems there are some steampunk-esque things as an aside, but zero steampunk feel to the story.
2. no climax. maybe it was the thing with her dad, but that fell very short for such a huge event.
3. The question of romance being dangerous was very misleading. where was the romance? where was the danger?
4. Zero character development of the protagonist.
overall, this felt like a very long prologue with no climax, romance, or steampunk. I might be judging harsh, because I was looking for solid steampunk to get a feel of how authors are addressing this in literature. This was the wrong book for that.

99% loved the narrator, only took issue with Kai.

liked the story, felt like there was a lot of back story and the epic fight fell a little flat. otherwise, fun listen
