I tend to soak up anything by this writer. His gritty description of street life is eerily accurate. Love his books!

Historia
Carl Weber is a New York Times best-selling author who’s made a name for himself with wildly entertaining works marked by his trademark wit and storytelling panache. In The Choir Director, Bishop T.K. Wilson is banking on dynamic new choir director Anthony Mackie to reverse the failing congregation’s fortunes. But while Anthony’s got more than enough chops to raise a heavenly chorus, he’s also got a weakness for the ladies that could make the Devil himself stand up and take notice.

I would listen to Choir Director again because I have run across characters in my own church portrayed in the book. It is funny, it has heart. It shows faith in what's good.

Pretty Good
Revisado: 04-09-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a basic vampire tale. Although I'd have liked it better if the author would've given a more historical background.
Have you listened to any of J.D. Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I think this is the first book I've heard J.D. Jackson perform. His voice was engaging.
Could you see Dark Corner being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I think a tv series. Anthony Mackie as David Hunter; Idris Elba as his Father Richard. Stellar combination.

If you could sum up The Secret of Crickley Hall in three words, what would they be?
Touches every fear
What other book might you compare The Secret of Crickley Hall to and why?
The Haunted by Bickley Little
Tells of a tortured, purely evil soul bent on terrorizing it's occupants.
Have you listened to any of David Rintoul’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't heard any of his other performances but I truly enjoyed him in this book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did but it also wasn't too hard to put it down as needed, rewind it a little when I got a chance and finish it up.

Historical Phenom!
Revisado: 10-09-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would absolutely recommend this book! Most of my friends and family enjoy "history lessons". The way they present the references to some of the characters made me want to research further into the notable mentioned.
What did you like best about this story?
Taking "stuffy" history and turning it into adventures.
Which scene was your favorite?
ONE of my favorite scenes is when Diana gives them the tools needed to make the first telescope. It tickled me that they managed to give a "slight" nudge in changing history.
If you could rename Shadow of Night, what would you call it?
Becoming of One.
