Loved this book and its overall message! I expected to laugh but i did not expcet this book to be what it is.....amazing!
It had me laughing and crying and cry laughing! What a beautiful story of making your life what you want. I really liked her short snaps of Helen but I never knew what a life she lived. Its really cool to see a story where someone admits and understands the things they have done and been through and choose to do better. Saying yeah i sucked but here i am to make it better, lets talk about it, lets work on it, and lets do the dang thing!

Historia
One afternoon at an outdoor market in India, a man’s shadow disappears - an occurrence science cannot explain. He is only the first. The phenomenon spreads like a plague, and while those afflicted gain a strange new power, it comes at a horrible price: the loss of all their memories. Ory and his wife, Max, have escaped the Forgetting so far by hiding in an abandoned hotel deep in the woods. Their new life feels almost normal, until one day, Max’s shadow disappears, too.

It was ok
Revisado: 12-04-19
it started out really well in the beggining but then it took a hard left and ended on mediocre. I was pretty disappointed at the ending but i can see how she thought it would be a good twist...it just wasnt. Some parts of the story were just kind of flimsy. Not to push other books under one book but a good one is The paths between worlds, its more....concise. I just wish we could have a community on here where you can message other listeners about books and so on. Anway this book was ok it felt like the last hundred 3 hours or so just dragged on for some unknown reason. .....meh

Historia
For Meredith Gale, ending her life seems like her only choice, and that choice is the reason she’s dangling by her fingertips from a bridge high above the freezing water of the San Francisco Bay. But someone or some thing has other plans for Meredith, and as her fingers slip from the cold steel of the bridge, a disembodied voice asks her a simple question: “Candidate 13: Do you wish to be saved?” Realizing her mistake too late, Meredith screams “Yes!” and instantly finds herself transported to a mysterious island, alongside hundreds of other Candidates like her.

Great story
Revisado: 12-03-19
This is a really great story but plz get it off of Kindle (if available) instead simply becasue you'll enjoy it more by reading it rather than the narrrator. She often forgets to narrate as the main heroine, her accents get convoluted more and more throughout the story. She has a very mature voice which does not match the 28 yer old heroine, makes her sound like shes in her late 50's. I just couldn't really absorb the story becasue I was annoyed at the narrator....Again great story its really fun but the narrator just throws you off its not bad per say...just not as good as it could be. You forget that the heroine is young and isnt the matriarc ...every time we would get a reminder in the story that she's 28 youre like oh yeah ...ok maybe pretend shes been a smoker since she was in the womb?
The story is really great and something different, its pretty well thought out and moves at a great pace a balance between action and getting to know the characters and their stories. In my opinion its a really well written book with some humor for everyone and if you are a poetry lover you will get some great quotes here and there.
So overall its a great book....once you tune out the narrator. Her British and English accesnts kind of meld together and if Edward and any of the other guys are talking at the same time (minus Wild Bill) it all sounds the same ...just takes away from the story and that is what bothers me. Book two I will for sure just get a paperback copy.

Good story line
Revisado: 08-21-19
The overall storyline kept me coming back but the repetative sensual content was so boring and annoying ints predictability that i gave up reading the series all together.

Historia
In the world of Warbreaker, each person is born endowed with the power of one Breath―which can be sold and collected by others, then used to Awaken objects and even corpses to do their bidding. A few individuals who die in glory return as gods, with the power of thousands of Breath, but no memory of their mortal lives―and are enthroned in the Court of Gods in Hallandren’s capital. To Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris, the abuse of Breath and the claim of the Returned to be gods are repugnant blasphemy.

ummmmm......
Revisado: 01-03-19
The story was great, but it took me forever to get over the voice of the narrator which made it hard to enjoy the book. Any time she did a "little girl voice" sounded like someone's granny on her death bed. Just not really able to bring the characters to life, you really have to be able to zone her out and just focus on the words not the voice. I really enjoy this author but I cant say I feel the same about the narrator.

Needs to be a movie
Revisado: 12-21-18
It has been a while since i have read a book, this one definitely was the right one to get back in. I found myself laughing out loud and being tearful at some parts. I have truly enjoyed this book. If you like star wars and ready player one, this is kind of that feeling where you really are hanging on to every written word. And the ending was really unexpected. Thank you Mr. Sanderson for a lovely read!
