Historia
In 1906, a groundbreaking Rolls-Royce prototype known as the Gray Ghost vanishes from the streets of Manchester, England, and it is only the lucky intervention of an American detective named Isaac Bell that prevents it from being lost forever. Not even he can save the good name of Marcus Peyton, however, the man wrongly blamed for the theft, and more than 100 years later, it is his grandson who turns to Sam and Remi Fargo to help prove his grandfather's innocence. But there is even more at stake than any of them know.

Just Not Plausible
Revisado: 08-18-18
I really like the Fargo series, and I'm a big Cussler fan - but this book falls way short of my expectations. Scott Brick is one of the best narrators - but this one falls a little below par for him. The plot is sub-par. Does Robin Burcell really think multi-millionaires can be cut off from their money instantly? Do you really think that it would take days for Selma to walk over to the neighbors to use the phone to call Sam and Remy's friend Barbara in Italy? Do you really think Remy and Sam don't know their neighbors well enough to call using a pre-paid card and ask them to go get Selma? Don't you think Sam would have called his banker first and then his many CIA and FBI buddies to get a fix going the minute their bank accounts were hacked? Sam's distant cousin can't be that bumbling and considering Sam and Remy's considerable experience, you would think they would ask the right questions, and stop muddling into the middle of the silly cooked up plot that we readers could see coming 20 pages into the book. Mr. Cussler - you might want to vet your writing partners a little better to make sure they are providing plot and content that meets your reader's expectations.

Historia
There's a sudden spike in murders in Philadelphia, but no one seems to mind much because the victims all seem to be lowlifes. The more Homicide Sergeant Matthew Payne investigates, however, the more he gets a bad feeling-one that only gets worse when vigilante groups spring up claiming credit for some of the hits, even though Payne knows it can't be true. As the targets get bigger and events start moving out of control, Payne realizes that if he and his colleagues can't figure out who's behind this very soon, the violence could overtake them all.

Finally, a decent narrator!
Revisado: 09-22-17
Getting Scott Brick to narrate makes the story come alive! Great Decision. I realize you need new readers to get some backstory, but for those of us who have read all the previous books it is very frustrating to listen to the rehashing of prior content in every book!.

The Details of Each Character is the Key
Revisado: 07-18-17
What made the experience of listening to Barsoom Series Collection: 7 John Carter Stories the most enjoyable?
The detail behind each of the characters and the cultural foundation established for Barsoom.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Barsoom Series Collection: 7 John Carter Stories?
Too many to count - each book has it's own moments.
What didn’t you like about Eric Vincent’s performance?
I should have done a review search - It is very hard for me to listen to someone who speaks through their nose. Just can't imagine John Carter with a nasal twang. Made it hard to listen to for me, limits the character voices and it is hard at time to figure out which character is speaking.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes - If I could, I would have.

Excellent Start to an Exciting Series
Revisado: 07-20-15
What made the experience of listening to Honor Bound the most enjoyable?
The detail of the of the characters, the understanding of the cultural intricacies of 1940 Argentina, and each of the sub-plots made this a very enjoyable read.
What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Dick Hill has a very good voice for narration with wonderful pacing and also understands the pronunciation of those elements of the book required to be spoken in Spanish and German. I would think that he should do al narrations for the W.E.B. Griffin "Honor" series.

You Paid The Guy To Narrate This?
Revisado: 04-05-14
If you could sum up Black Ops in three words, what would they be?
Great Historical Information
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mirron Willis?
Dick Hill (actually almost anyone would have been a better choice)
Any additional comments?
I'm not trying to be disrespectful, it just wasn't a good choice as a narrator. I usually don't write reviews, but when I spend money to listen to a book - I expect that the person hired to narrate the book is going to do a decent job. This book is hard to listen to because the narrator isn't conversational - it's like reading one word at a time, thus the narration provides no sense of engagement. It is very mechanical with has no rhythm. He constantly mispronounces common words that are used within special operations or the military in general.
