This was a very entertaining amd funny story. And the dramatization was extremely well made. A highlight was the tongue-in-cheek narration by Neil Gaiman.

Faszinierende Einblicke in die Geschichte

Richard und Daniel erzählen jede Woche eine Geschichte aus der Geschichte. Sie machen dies auf so eine interaktive und interessante Art, dass ich mich immer wieder über eine neue Folge freue.
Sehr empfehlenswert für jeden der sich auch nir im geringsten für Geschichte interessiert.

Fascinating till the last minute

I love this series about a vampire, who is at heart most comfortable as an accountant and his friends.

This installment offers a continuation of the overall plot wit a recurrence of Quinn and House Turva, as well as other stories which give Fred an opportunity to learn and grow into the responsibility of the leader of an increasingly important house.

I'm very much looking forward to the next installment.

Fantastische Fortsetzung

Die Arbeit für die Soko Kohlrabenschwarz ist noch nicht vorbei, denn auch wenn der Übeltäter hinter Gitter ist, wurde genug Energie freigesetzt, dass es an anderen Orten zu weiteren merkwürdigen Vorfällen kommt.

Wer Spass an der ersten Staffel hatte, ist gut beraten auch diesen Teil anzuhören. Die Geschichte geht nahtlos weiter und nimmt sehr schnell an Fahrt auf.

Ich hoffe sehr dass es auch noch eine dritte Staffel geben wird.

Fascinating world building

Aleron Kong manages to craft a new fantastic setting.
I really enjoyed exploring this new world and it's characters. As with his other stories there is quite a bit of juvenile comedy in it, which I could have done without, nevertheless it was a great listen.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Ein mitreissender Krimi in einer magischen Welt

Anouk ist ein Sukubus und lebt in einer Stadt, in welcher die normalen Menschen keine Ahnung haben, dass Vampire, Magier und andere Wesen unter ihnen Weilen. Als ein Djinn auf brutalste Weise ermordet wurde, muss Anouk mit der lokalen Polizei zusammenarbeiten um den Mörder zu finden, doch dass ist gar nicht so einfach, denn kaum kommen sie einen Schritt weiter taucht die nächste Leiche auf.

Anouk ist ein wirklich mitreissend geschriebener Krimi, welcher kaum Zeit für eine Atempause lässt. Sexuelle Begegnungen werden öfters auch explizit geschildert, passen jedoch zur Handlung und zu den Charakteren und drängt die Geschichte nicht in den Hintergrund.

Die Charaktere sind vielschichtig und haben viel Potential weiter erforscht zu werden. Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall schon sehr auf den zweiten Teil.

Spannender Krimi mit märchenhaften Einflüssen

Kohlrabenschwarz ist ein Krimi, der in der heutigen Zeit spielt. Als Stefan Schwaab, Psychologe mit zeitweisen Einsätzen für die Polizei, in gruselige Fälle mit Referenzen zu Märchen hineingezogen wird, beginnt ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit.

Ein fantastischer und packender Krimi in einer sehr hochwertigen Produktion. Ich freue mich schon auf die zweite Staffel.

Brilliant story with fantastic narration

What made the experience of listening to Dimension of Miracles the most enjoyable?

First of all the brilliant imaginative story and second John Hodgman's great narration.

What did you like best about this story?

It's wittiness, bizarreness and brilliance.

What about John Hodgman’s performance did you like?

The way he narrated the varied characters that Tom Carmody meets on his travels. It always felt authentic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending.

Any additional comments?

It is called the precursor to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and even though the story is very different they share the same style. So if you love HGttG then you will love this book as well.

Terrific Narration, Very interesting story

Written about 300 years ago this story has aged very well and Gulliver's adventures are event today very entertaining. Gulliver's Travels was meant to mock the hordes of books about adventurous travels released at the time which often exaggerated the dangers faced and the belitteled the intellect of the natives encountered. And so Gulliver meets giants, tiny people, horses which rule over men and people living on a floating island. In addition to the entertainment value these episodes hold it is also very interesting to see how critical Jonathan Swift was of English society and values. This criticism is never voiced by the main character directly, but surface through the discussions Gulliver has with the people he meets.

The Audiobook version published by Alcazar AudioWorks features a terrific Narrator which makes the story a joy to listen to.

Funny live recordings

This collection contains seven humorous short stories recorded live by Symphony Space. The live recording has the advantage that you can hear the audience's reaction, however, a couple of verbal errors crept in which couldn't be edited out.
My favorite stories in this collection are 'Chivalry' by Neil Gaiman, 'On the U.S.S. Fortitude' by Ron Carlson and 'Fatso' by Etgar Keret.
