Historia
Fallopian Rhapsody: The Story of the Lunachicks is a coming-of-age tale about a band of NYC teenagers who forged a sisterhood, found salvation, and fervently crashed the gates of punk rock during the '90s, accidentally becoming feminist icons along the way. More than that, this is a story about the enduring friendship among the book's three central voices: Theo Kogan, Sydney Silver, and Gina Volpe.

A butt trumpet of a book !
Revisado: 08-22-22
My wife and I had the opportunity to see the lunachicks a number of times in different small venues and listened to all the albums a million times. This book was a little embarrassing to read, in the same way crying for 2 weeks when David Bowie died was. I don't know these people personally. they're no relation. Maybe it's narcism that we are attracted to art that reminds us of ourselves ?
In the end I'm amazed at the power of friendship and that the writers and reader survived.
and I hope X found a way out.

A lovely addition
Revisado: 04-05-22
I wondered how I'd feel about the book minus Peters voice. This one was as gloriously entertaining as all the others. Now I have nothing to do but wait for the newest addition. cheers

Historia
Peter Grant is facing fatherhood, and an uncertain future, with equal amounts of panic and enthusiasm. Rather than sit around, he takes a job with émigré Silicon Valley tech genius Terrence Skinner's brand new London start up - the Serious Cybernetics Company. Drawn into the orbit of Old Street's famous "silicon roundabout", Peter must learn how to blend in with people who are both civilians and geekier than he is.

Historia
Where the Marble Arch stands today in London was once the Tyburn gallows - also known as The Hanging Tree. The walk toward those gallows along Oxford Street and past the Mayfair mansions has a bloody and haunted history as the last trip of the condemned. Some things never change. For both blood and ghosts have returned to those mansions of the super-rich. And it's up to Peter Grant - England's last wizard and the Metropolitan Police's reluctant investigator of all things supernatural - to get to the bottom of the sinister doings.

Historia
It is the summer of 2013, and Abigail Kamara has been left to her own devices. This might, by those who know her, be considered a mistake. While her cousin, police constable and apprentice wizard Peter Grant, is off in the sticks chasing unicorns, Abigail is chasing her own mystery. Teenagers around Hampstead Heath have been going missing, but before the police can get fully engaged, the teens return home - unharmed but vague about where they've been.

A new and unexpected voice
Revisado: 03-25-22
Mr Aaronovitch needs to write fast.
I've never read so quickly and with such joy in my life. I've established the habit of reading each book twice before moving on to the next. savoring every word.
