Intense but confusing

I loved the Netflix series so much that I had to get the audiobook and compare the two. While the audiobook was very good in a lot of ways, it left out a lot of context and I was in limbo as to who was speaking at certain junctures, especially when things got hairy for the characters. The performance of each voice actor was amazing, I was pulled into the story by their convincing sincerity.

What did you like best about this story?
It was the continuation for a series I greatly enjoy and it was a new twist on how Harry gets the job done.
What didn’t you like about John Glover’s performance?
He was not James Marsters.
What character would you cut from Ghost Story?
None, I have no business making that kind of decision. It's Jim's story, let him tell it.

If Penguin Audio would please have James re-read this book, I would greatly appreciate it. I will buy the the book a second time just to have it read the right way.

Hats off Gunny

This book was filled with real examples of warfare and some old sayings I heard from Gunny Coughlin a few times during my deployments to Iraq with 3/4. I enjoyed this second book as much as I did the first, probably more so than most of the civilians who read it because I understand the language being spoken by the Marines. I laughed out loud many times during the read. Damn fine book.
