“Discover How to Thrive Amid Grief” by Eugenia Rapport has put into words what a grieving heart and mind is going through. I felt as if she was my subconscious mind speaking tenderly and looking me in the eyes without any judgment. This book has led me to beautiful awakenings:
*despite one’s grief, the world keeps marching forward—I can create meaning and find purpose in my losses, no matter how difficult the process is.
*grief makes you thankful for what you have—there is grace, there is hope, there is growth and transformation, there is rainbow after the storm!
*”not to marinate in negativity forever” is one of the most simple yet powerful phrases that this book has ingrained in my heart.
*above all, the author spoke from her own experiences of grieving the loss of not only one, but all her immediate family members at a young age. Her journey, personal discoveries and practical strategies and tools that she used to come out stronger and with an ever positive outlook about life is incredibly compelling!
*there are resources provided in the last chapter which I find extremely helpful so you won’t feel alone and overwhelmed with the responsibilities that you need to take on after your loved one had left.
I’d like to thank the author for sharing your life stories and the wisdom you’ve gained from your own grief journey and those of others you’ve included in this highly commendable audiobook.
This will make a difference in the lives of so many people who are going through a profound grief journey, to help them navigate through life without getting lost in the emptiness, but rather emerge stronger and more equipped how to manage their emotions and energy.

I go back over and over to Meditation 26, “One Day at a Time” whenever I feel that my responsibilities and my own expectations of myself are weighing me down. The imagery that I’m resting on a cloud and other clouds are floating around me is nothing but the most serene place I could bring my conscious mind to. After a few minutes in the meditation, I always come out feeling light, liberated, and with a fresh outlook to keep moving along in life’s journey.
All these 30 meditations are a great tool that I can run to at any time I need to quiet down my mind, breathe and be aware of what I need to focus on. I can just go to the chapter page and choose which meditation I need at a particular point in life. The narrator’s voice is the most soothing and calming... I would just let it play in the background and I’d instantly fall into a deep slumber. I highly recommend these meditations not only for those in grief, but also for those like me who needs a quiet and safe space for an inner journey.
