The most truth packed into one book
Revisado: 08-17-24
This has been one of (if not the most) eye-opening and paradigm-shifting books I've ever read. It is a complete, coherent, and undeniable model of human relationships that cuts through all the bs and sheds light on the cogs and wheels turning beneath the surface of our decisions regarding relationships of all kinds. I haven't come across anyone else explaining these ideas with the level of clarity that resides in this book. While I disagree with the connotation of some of the passages, Orion keeps it objective as much as possible, and the vast majority of the writing seems like undeniable truth. I feel as if I've been let out of Plato's Cave, and I think I'd almost rather watch the shadows, but there's no un-reading what's been read. I thank Orion for his diligent work on this subject.

Available for the first time in audiobook, this follow-up to the phenomenally successful Men Who Can't Love tackles the issue of commitment phobia, that persistent obstacle to truly satisfying contemporary relationships. Authors Stephen Carter and Julia Sokol explore why modern men and women are torn between the desire for intimacy and the equally intense need for independence. Drawing on numerous interviews and real-life scenarios, and written with humor, insight, and the kind of wisdom gained by personal experience, He's Scared, She's Scared offers guidance for all of us who want genuine, sustained intimacy.

This book is a life saver.
Revisado: 07-12-22
I was recommended this book from another book called “Anxious Hearts Guide” which I found after a very short, intense, and tumultuous relationship. This book has given me more insight into my own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in romantic relationships than I could have ever imagined. Incredibly accurate to how relationships between people with (usually SUBconscious) commitment issues play out. It was like someone was writing the story of my latest relationship word for word. I would recommend it to anyone who struggles in romantic relationships, or is confused why things don’t seem to work the way they think they will with partners. Five stars.

One of the most inspiring books.
Revisado: 09-14-18
This is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. It already is and will continue to change my life for the better. It’s a book I wish everyone would read.
You can tell how much of himself Peterson puts into the book, because there are bits that he cannot read without weeping. 12 Rules for Life is better listened to than read, because you get the full experience of what Peterson intends to bestow on the reader through his intonation, emphasis, and expression.
