I did this book on audio. I like the story concept of The Key To Everything leading the key holder to othe dimensions (this is not about time travel). Every story requires a bad guy, which is the case here, however, the insane brutality is really unnecessary. The relationship between Jeffy and his daughter, Amity is fairly well developed but more could have been done regarding missing mom, Michelle.
With regard to the readers: All of the voices were easy to listen to and appropriate to the characters. The one reader I had irksome feelings about was whoever did the daughter, Amity. I like her voice and energy, however, she needs to work on the actual reading such as ending a sentence prematurely and then having a random word just hanging out there. It changed the meaning at times and threw me off.

Wow. The woman in this story rock!

There are three particular women of note in this story which is set in WWII. They are part of a highly secret and elite team of code breakers working for England. Their friendships, relationships, breakups, struggles and joy are all woven into the intrigue. Great story with a surprising ending based on true events.
I also thought the narration was wonderful.
I highly recommend this book. Enjoy.

Betrayal, secrets, lies, murder, family, morality...it's all here. I kept thinking I had it figured out, and then, nope! I really enjoyed this murder mystery. The narrator is good with a nice vocal quality. I sometimes felt the speech was to halting but overall, I enjoyed him.

I love this series

I actually read this series of books some time ago and came across it on audio and decided to see what the it would be like to experience it in audio performance. I was not disappointed. I really enjoy the way this author weaves a tale and provides descriptive elements along the way that helped me feel I was with the characters in the story. It's an interesting take on a virus/post apocalyptic novel and I highly recommend it
