I loved the characters of Ben and Hope. And it’s refreshing when characters talk about things without beating around the bush. Sometimes in other books the inner dialogue is annoying and fatiguing seeming like the author extends it just to get enough words on the page, but this one is just right, especially when it comes to how they feel good or bad.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by Leanne and will listen to anything she writes from the past and future. Great story and characters. I also want to say that of the literally hundreds of books I’ve listened to, the narrator of this one is my absolute favorite! Instead of just reading the story she makes you feel like you’re in the same room and she’s telling you all of this. I was constantly amazed by this. Even the simple inflection of her voice as a man saying the word “oh” is cool. I’m going to follow her and get everything she narrates which is a first for me.

Great story and characters with excellent narration! The back and forth between them is fun to listen too especially since there isn’t any angst of holding stuff back or lying. It’s always refreshing when that happens!!
