Historia
Once there was a world's end. The forests burned, the lakes and rivers dried up, and the oceans swelled. Then came a plague, and fever spread across the globe. Families died, violence reigned, and man killed man. Next came WICKED, who were looking for an answer. And then they found the perfect boy. The boy's name was Thomas, and Thomas built a maze. Now there are secrets. There are lies. And there are loyalties history could never have foreseen. This is the story of that boy, Thomas, and how he built a maze that only he could tear down.

unnecessary
Revisado: 02-12-22
This book is a money grab, there is already a prequel to Maze runner and it is superb. this book spits in the face of the entire series and is a complete waste of time. I read a review stating there are Easter eggs in here and that's what made me read it, I'm unsure what they think an Easter egg is but there is nothing of the sort. the tiny fraction of new content they created is insignificant to any of the other books in this series. this one is better off left unread

Historia
In teeming Victorian London, where lavish wealth and appalling poverty live side by side, Edward Pierce charms the most prominent of the well-to-do as he cunningly orchestrates the crime of the century. Who would suspect that a gentleman of breeding could mastermind the daring theft of a fortune in gold? Who could predict the consequences of making the extraordinary robbery aboard the pride of England's industrial era, the mighty steam locomotive?

Cringey narration ruined it
Revisado: 01-20-22
The amount of terrible cockney accent in this book makes it unbearable to listen to. This is the first Audible book I've downloaded out of hundreds that I did not finish. I will read it on my own time but avoid this narration like the plague. This narration deserves a refund to all that wasted their money.
This is coming from a huge Michael Chrichton fan.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

alot of detail for a pretty simple story
Revisado: 06-26-20
this book has a ton of buildup to a pretty philosophical motive. I could have listened to the last 2 volumes and been just fine with getting the gist. the stars given were more based on the narrator. his performance was superb

give the narrator a chance
Revisado: 08-21-19
the narrator gets talked poorly by most of the other popular reviews, she does come off rough at first and the sample of this book is a poor one, in that she is narrating for a male robot. she is capable of throwing her voice for multiple characters andanages to engross you in the story, give her a chance. this book has alot going on and isn't one you want to skip.

Historia
It's 2526. It has been almost a year since humanity engaged in its destructive first contact with a theocratic military alliance of alien races known as the Covenant. Now, the hostilities have led to open war, and the United Nations Space Command understands virtually nothing about its new enemy. The UNSC’s only hope lies with the Spartans: enhanced super-soldiers trained from childhood via a clandestine black-ops project to be living weapons. But not everyone wants the Spartans to succeed.

As one of the few to escape the glassing of Paris IV, and despite the United Nations Space Command winning the war on behalf of humanity, Molly never forgot how much she had lost. Nine years later, when her adoptive parents - research scientists specializing in ancient Forerunner technology - are called to the mysterious and wondrous place known as Onyx, Molly vehemently objects.

Super Soft Halo book (g rated)
Revisado: 08-15-19
the story feels a mix of Percy Jackson with a touch of Breakfast Club. with Halo type characters. there is minimal Spartan interactions in the whole book, and most of the characters in this are children. with that in mind it reads/listens a little whiney and the main character is a tad too bratty for me.
for the hardcore Halo fans there's some good delving into the guardians (big bird statues from Halo 5). But and this is a big BUT, it hardly feels like a Halo book. it's a children's novel set in Halo space. I could have skipped this one and gone on living just the same.
