Good story wrong narrator

Story was fascinating. I always love Deon Meyer's stories they grip you from beginning to end. However I struggled to get use to the narraror's accent which is british but the characters are afrikaans. As a South African it really iritated me. I want to listen to Heart of the Hunter as well, but don't know if I can stomach the british in a South African novel again.

Little bit dissapointed

I read a lot of books about war and I've read a few of the reviews for this book and I have to say it was somewhat dissapointed. However it was a fresh view for my regarding the years before the war. Maybe I expected more 'action'. I am looking forward to the second book though and can't wait to start it!

Dit word ook, uiteindelik, 'n voorbereiding op die onafwendbare einde van die reis: die dood.

Sjoe, wat 'n vervelige boek!! Ek verstaan dat dit dalk 'n diep boek is met 'n dieper storie, maar genugtig. Hy beskryf alles tot vervelens toe. Ek het maar geluister tot die einde om te hoor of daar dalk iets gebeur, maar niks niks. Ek sal die boek vir niemand voorskryf nie, behalwe dalk vir die wat nie kan slaap nie. Dankie tog die boek is klaar.
