Girlfriends?!
Revisado: 04-16-25
Girlfriends.,they can be a blessing and a curse. No one knows you as well as your girls do.
This story had me loving some and disliking others. It revolves around 4 friends attempting to open a book store so they can share their love of books with others. Each one is at a different time in their lives and facing their own turmoil. When all of their issues comes to a head, will they face them together or will this destroy their friendship forever.
I enjoyed the story, but the main theme here was how fear can paralyze you. Leslie, Toni, Yasmeen, and Celeste were each afraid of facing “something” and instead of pulling people in, they constantly kept everyone at arms length, being mean and spiteful at times, testing the friendship and failing miserably. As the story unfolds, it made you really think, how close are your friends really? Can you truly give and receive truth? Only time will tell.

I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't
Revisado: 04-11-25
I am a new reader for this author and really thought I was getting a good one in this book (or 3) and sadly, it was not good. I spent more time rolling my eyes and hoping that it would get better only to find that it does not.
The Alpha's Hunger/ The Alpha's Punishment
I am not sure what the story was supposed to focus on, the shifter aspect, the intrigue of who is trying to bring Ben Stone down, or the relationship between Ben and Ashley. It was confusing and at time, pure dribble. There was so much ass spanking that it ceased to be interesting. Ben is trying to keep his distance, but Ashley keeps pushing and when she's finally claimed she shocked and upset. I couldn't believe the foolishness.
Ashley's sister, Melissa is kidnapped. We don't really make any real efforts to find her or who is trying to infiltrate Ben's company, which was so easy to figure out, it was laughable. You thought Ashley was smart and witty, but then she was ditzy and so far from an alpha female, its laughable. After all of the shifter novels I read, this one was beyond unbelievable. Ben seems so clueless and less of an alpha in his behavior and actions than I've ever seen.
If I don't read another spanking book, it will be my pleasure...sadly, it doesn't end there.
The Alpha's Promise
Yet, another head scratcher of a novel. Cody and Ashley's sister, Melissa were just one big misunderstanding. The whole story was about misunderstanding and then more spanking. He's the alpha of a pack and except for the one pack run, you saw and heard no more about the pack. She's a little mixed up, both by current circumstances and past experiences so she's flighty yet portrays herself as confident and self-assured. The guy who is threatening to kill her isn't really looking for her and surprise, surprise, gave them a week to come up with the money. Really! What kind of antagonist was this? I got a headache just trying to get through this story knowing that there was another story to go.
The Alpha's Protection
Now this story was half bad. I am not sure if it really was a good one or just that it was so short it didn't have time to annoy me. Ben immediately knows that Colleen is his mate and she doesn't really deny it, but she is mated to another man, a man who is abusive and she is on the run from. Even if there is an age difference, Colleen handles her current situation as best she can without denying the inevitable. Her only crime is trying to protect her mate from her tyrant. The story is quick, smooth, with a little bit of sexy times thrown in.
To say that I was happy to be done is an understatement. While I may not have loved this trilogy, I was entertained and actually finished it, so it is worthy of my rating.

Historia
Ever since Jane Jameson took over running the Vampire Council for Half-Moon Hollow, things have been a little unorthodox, and that doesn’t sit well with the head office. Who would have thought vampires were so into bureaucracy and tradition? Enter a vamp from corporate who’s determined to unseat Jane and get the council back on track - which means no more of this Kentucky neighborliness and mixing with humans, werewolves, witches, or anything else. But Jane’s not interested in going back to the bad old days when the council was mired in corruption.

Loved it!
Revisado: 04-01-25
A healthy and Zen-like vampire, who knew. Meadow is the resident tea selling vampire who was given the opportunity to be under the watchful eye of Dick and Jane while she works off her probation time. she loves it in Half Moon Hollow and has become a fixture in the town (Dick's nickname for her is "Hippy-Dippy") (I loved it)..when her time in Half Moon Hollow is threatened by the stuffy auditor who is sent from corporate to inspect the office along with Dick and Jane's conduct, she is beyond upset and works hard to get him to see how their unconventional management style is a blessing not a curse. Sure, falling for him wasn't in the plan and bedding him was definitely not part of the process, but what can you do when he's hot and sexy. Unfortunately, someone is sabotaging Dick and Jane's efforts and every time Weston is right there with his pen and pad to notate it for his report. If only Meadow can figure out who is trying to get rid of her favorite people and disrupt the harmony in her town.
This story is filled with fun and witty humor. As always, Molly weaves a tale with quirky content, and sexy fun times that keep you laughing, sighing, and giggling through the entire book. I love Jane and Half Moon Hollow along with the merry residents that have come to call this place home. Each book is better than the last.

Together, Wynter and Cain have prevailed over many powerful enemies, but now they face their final - and most terrifying - battle.

Awesome
Revisado: 04-01-25
I love all of Suzanne's books and how does she weave these crazy tales that make you fall in love with every single character.
This is the final showdown between Wynter, Cane and the last ancient. We find that there are other ancients who haven't risen or been found. There is a bounty on Wynter's head and Cane will destroy the world if something happens to his woman. Once the fight is taken back to Wynter's home, only one side will be victorious.
I love this storyline. Wynter and her coven are as crazy as ever. I was hoping that there would be a spark between Annabelle and Seth, or maybe Xavier and the wolf pack alpha next door, but no such luck :), In the end, only one side will be left standing and what happens after that is anyone guest.

Engaging and informative
Revisado: 04-01-25
I've been following Jefferson for a year or so and was excited to see that he was writing a book. The information he provides is practical even if it seems difficult to use. While a lot of what he has written can be found in his shorts and podcast, I appreciated the opportunity to hear examples and engaging commentary that allowed me to absorb his words and make a plan to use them moving forward.
I recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn to communicate more effectively and differently than you have been.

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

It was a good read
Revisado: 03-14-25
I’m not sure if it’s the story over me, but it took me a while to get through this one. There was so much to keep track of, Deacon/ Nina, Cindy/ Jake, Dottie, Rick, then there are the ghosts, Katherine/ Gerald and Jack/ Rick.
All of the couples came together slowly as they worked to rehab the Whitney house on the island. The house is haunted but no one will admit to the ghostly shenanigans until it’s almost too late. After one too many “incidents”, both real and “imagined”, the group will finally face the thing that haunts the house and even the very human danger that lurks about.
I enjoyed the story, but it didn’t grip me like Molly’s other books. As the story finally started to unfold, I was drawn into the crescendo of the story and eager to solve the mystery.

My heart breaks all over again
Revisado: 01-01-25
I purchased the book when it was released, but I had to be in a good space to read it. I followed Cheslie since she was a lawyer in NC running her blog about women's workwear and the launch of her jewelry's line, through her pageant moments and foray into entertainment TV. I like many others felt that se was a friend in my head. her death was utterly devastating. I cried for this woman I didn't know. I cried for her family and friends, but as a mother, I was crushed by the grief for her own mother. While I follow Cheslie's mother on IG, I couldn't know how far she was in her healing and even though she is behind the publishing of this book, I felt intrusive reading it.
Once I got up the nerve to do so, I cried through the whole thing. Through the tragedy of severe depression. The fact that while we can e there for people, we cannot control their actions any more than we can control anyone else's. My daughter and I read this book together as our "book club" pick. As someone who suffers from depression, we had poignant conversations of mental spaces Cheslie was and how she could relate..the thoughts that were discussed in the book, the pain that both mother and daughter went through. It was eye opening and scary all at the same time.
Cheslie's mom gives us hope, guidance, and inspiration on what can and cannot do for our loved ones and friends who suffer. She gave a glimpse into the life of her daughter and how she was able to move forward while chartering this new path. It was sad, inspiring, and uplifting all at the same time.

Love it
Revisado: 01-01-25
Out of all. Of Suzanne’s books, we’ve come across some intense aloha men, but I have to say, Alex takes the cake. This man is unapologetically Alpha. He’s intense, curt, determined, and unmoving. Only a strong willed female would be mated to this man and Bree is just that woman. Then again, if your predestined mate is a sadistic killer, you’d have to be to survive it.
This book contains hot Alpha moments, amazing sex, potential stalkers, crazy exes, lots of violence (some disturbing- wolverines😬), and one crazy twist that made the whole book worth the wait.
If you’re a fan of Suzanne, the Phoenix and Mercury packs, you’ll love the Devereaux pride.
