Gray Man Is Wicked
Revisado: 12-01-22
Really enjoyed this - my 4th Gray Man novel.
My only problem was when the author left some big gaps in the story line that could of, or should of, been connected.
Wish the relationship with the ICJ lady could have been better developed.

Fascinating memories of experiences long gone.
Revisado: 01-28-22
Carl does a wonderful job of bringing to life his experiences as a copy boy. Having been one myself in that era it brought back vivid personal memories of linotype machines and the splendid stress of daily deadlines that I haven't given thought to in decades. Thank you Carl.

Historia
To Paul Christopher, the world of espionage had become a region of the mad, in which men and women lived without conviction and were compelled by a craving for conspiracy. But now, he has to find the "mole" in the Outfit and demand justice from enemies, past and present. As he follows the twisting path of this secret American intelligence group, he discovers a trail of betrayal and violence that leads backward to the horrors of the Nazi era and plunges forward beyond the Vietnam War's labyrinth of lies.

magnificent prose
Revisado: 06-09-21
I have listened to more than 200 audio books on Audible. com. This book by Mr
McCarry has placed itself among my Top 3 all time favorites. From the incredible story line. to the expressive prose to the reader's performance. It was my first Mccarry book and now I understand why he is held in such high esteem. I only wish Audible carried all his books!

Historia
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel of the Roaring Twenties is beloved by generations of readers and stands as his crowning work. This new audio edition, authorized by the Fitzgerald estate, is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). Gyllenhaal's performance is a faithful delivery in the voice of Nick Carraway, the Midwesterner turned New York bond salesman, who rents a small house next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby....

George Guidall made a very good story even better. Nicely written by first time author. Details were excellent. Suspense held together, but characters were somewhat wooden. Overall quite enjoyable audio book.

Jumbled Storyline Augmented by Poor Writing
Revisado: 06-23-20
This had to be the worst Jack Ryan book I have ever experienced. The plot had no focus. the characters were poorly developed. It seemed like it was written in a big hurry, and then suddenly ended with a dull thump. Scott Brick's narration struggled to put life into the dislocated chapters, but even his talent couldn't save this mess. Don't waste your time.

A toxic presidential election is underway in an America already badly weakened by internal divisions. While politicians focus entirely on maintaining their own power, ISIS kidnaps a brilliant French microbiologist and forces him to begin manufacturing anthrax. Slickly produced videos chronicling his progress and threatening an imminent attack are posted to the internet, intensifying the hysteria gripping the United States.

Felt like the book was written in a hurry. Guidell is always excellent. Characters were not developed as well as previous Rapp novels. Too many fast-forward leaps by author.
