Historia
After mother of five and former FBI profiler Andie Stern solved a murder—and unraveled a decades-old conspiracy—in her New Jersey town, both her husband and the West Windsor police hoped that she would set aside crime-fighting and go back to carpools, changing diapers, and lunches with her group of mom-friends, who she secretly calls The Cellulitists. Even so, Andie can’t help but get involved when the husband of Queen Bee Molly Goode is found dead. Though all signs point to natural causes, Andie begins to dig into the case and soon risks more than just the clique’s wrath.

Fabulous Mystery and Satire in One
Revisado: 12-10-22
A great sequel to Suburban Dicks. Aside from the hilarious, laugh out loud satire on the suburban American Dream and it's current manifestations, the book is a great sleuth story of the unlikely hero finding her place in the world, through her family and her true vocation. For anyone that grew up in the New Jersey suburbs of New York and spent time in the Princeton area, this book is a treat.

Standing next to her body is fourteen-year-old Mason Hill, the autistic son of former Miss USA Genevieve Hill. The locals are quick to level their verdict on young Mason: he did it. The town detective calls in local autism expert Casey Walker to consult on the case. At first, Casey tries to keep an open mind. But the more time she spends with Genevieve, the more her unease grows, and she suspects that Genevieve is doing more than just protecting her son.

Too Many Loose Ends Left at the End
Revisado: 11-21-22
The book starts out as an engrossing mystery. Unfortunately, the ending leaves a lot of unresolved issues outstanding. it is very disappointing and leaves the reader wondering what the outcome will be. The book does not fit together as a whole for want of the holes left at the conclusion.

Revisado: 09-02-22
I have never read an author as adept as Colleen Hoover at portraying raw real emotions that evoke tremendoul empathy for her characters. This is an amazing story. After listening to this book and Verity, Colleen has become one of my favorite authors. This book is truly a masterpiece. It will totally engage you until the very end. Beautiful! Masterful!

Historia
“If I survive.” This thought haunted Lena. Her loved ones were cruelly forced from her arms in the Warsaw Ghetto in Poland and perished in Treblinka Death Camp. This is a true story of Holocaust survival. In WW2 books, it is a searing story of human rights abuses and genocide. The story of Nazi Germany and the Jews is a story of anti-Semitism, Nazi concentration camps, gas chambers, and World War II.

The mispronounced words peppering this narration were nearly unbearable. One wonders if the narrator has any knowledge of Jewish words. Get the book, not the audible.

Revisado: 03-21-20
Great characters. Wonderful, often, hilarious depictions of of ordinary situations. The plot is contrived, but the writing alone is worth the price of admission. It captures the full spectrum of human emotions at a profound level. Thoroughly entertaining and worth every moment of the listen.

As Spectacular as the First in the Trilogy.
Revisado: 05-18-19
This book is of equal merit to the first in the trilogy, Natchez Burning. I am really psyched for the finale, which I intend to start right now.
The phrase "page turner" is often exaggerated and over used. Definitely not in this case. Iles is a master storyteller.

Amazing, Exciting and Great Writing
Revisado: 05-02-19
Could not stop listening. Characters are great and complex. Plot teaches so much about Mississippi and Louisiana and the sordid history of these places after the civil war and it's repurcussions which we still see happening right now. This is all wrapped in a thrilling suspense novel. I have already downloaded the next one in the trilogy and can't wait to get into it.
