Good, but not my favorite

I do love this series because of the heroines. This heroine, in particular, did nothing but irritate me making the overall experience less than what I was expecting. The weak, crybaby, complaining, overly attached and miserably lonely heroine, Deirdre, was disappointing compared to all the other smart, strong and self-loving women within the Gregor MacLeod family. Again, the series is wonderful and narration too. Now, if you prefer this weak type of heroine, this book is for you. There is nothing wrong with the plot.

I gave the storyline 3 stars because it sounds like it has potential. The narration is so bad that I couldn't bring my self to listen any more. I made it to chapter 3 before giving up. Change the narrator and I may consider giving it another try.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I tried listening to this book twice. Couldn't make it past chapter 2 because the narration is horrible. Story sounds like it would be great, but can't get past the narrators voice and attempts at character voices.
How could the performance have been better?
Get a new narrator! She ruins the entire experience.

A robotic narrator would have been more lively than Padovan ! Talk about ruining a simple story line.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Disappointed. I was expecting more action at the end.

The Erotic Re-Imaging was very mild and could have handled a little more heat a little more often. Either way, the effect would have been useless if you used Padovan as the narrator.The 2-star overall rating was given because of being familiar with the story line.
