Historia
Belle likes to think herself immune to the dizzying effects of fabulous wealth. But when her best friend, Summer, invites her on a glamorous getaway to the Mediterranean aboard her billionaire boyfriend's yacht, the only sensible answer is yes. Belle hopes the trip will be a much-needed break from her stalled acting career and uniquely humiliating waitressing job, but once she's aboard the luxurious Lion's Den, it soon becomes clear this jet-setting holiday is not as advertised.

Annoying Narrator
Revisado: 03-25-25
I enjoyed the book but I would have liked it a lot better if not for the narrator. Her voice was fine but she would speak in a quiet voice and then change to loud. I was constantly having to turn my volume up all the way for the quiet voice and then my ears would get blasted from the loud voice. Not a good book to listen to if you use a headset.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 03-08-25
The book was interesting. I would have in enjoyed it more if not for the narrator. It wasn't that she wasn't good but when talking with the French accent I didn't get most of what was being said. It was too garbled. I tried listening more than once but would give up and move on. I feel I probably missed some important parts. The other thing was the whispering. This happened only a few times but even with a brand new headset and volume up all the way it was hard to make out.

This Series Has Been Ruined

This WAS my favorite series. All of a sudden Michael Bennett has went from badass to a whiney weakling with phobias. If I hadn't bought this one and the next in the series I would have never purchased another!

Historia
In 1945, after barely escaping Hitler's invasion of Hungary followed by "liberation" of the country by the Red Army, three members of the Gabor family - Jolie, her ex-husband Vilmos, and their daughter Magda - arrived in New York City. In Hollywood, their other daughters, Zsa Zsa and Eva, had worked feverishly throughout the war years to secure their rescue from the Nazis' plan to exterminate the Jews. Stepping off the boat, Jolie, the iron-willed matriarch, already had a golden future mapped out for her sharp-witted, cosmopolitan beauties.

Inserting Liberal Opinions
Revisado: 02-07-24
This book was interesting until while a speaking about a dictator and torture felt the need to compare this dictator to Donald Trump. What has he got to do with anything. I'm sick of things like this being inserted into a book for no reason other than a liberal lunatic rant. Itcaused me to stop listening.

Everyone is a Racist
Revisado: 10-10-23
I would have enjoyed this so much more if he wouldhave just told his story. Every time he didn't instantly get to play at a club or be the headliner according to him it was always due to racism. I would imagine any new comedian starting out would have to work really hard. He talks about coming to this country and the hardships he has to endure being a, "halfbreed". I feel bad for him if he had to deal with any racism but I find it hard to believe that no one (according to him) had ever seen someone from the Philippines. I find it hard to believe that there weren't any other people from other countries or ethnic backgrounds and he was the only one.
I think he is very funny and loved hearing about his family and his life and I think it's wonderful that he is so successful.

Not sure
Revisado: 09-28-22
I'm not sure how much of the story I actually heard. It was difficult to determine which character was talking. Some of the voices were too similar. Some characters voices were whisper quiet. When volume is turned up a different character voice would blast your ear drums. The narrator was talented but this was the wrong book with too many characters for this narrator.

This book was wonderful. I have struggled when reading the Bible to understand what I just read. This book opened my eyes to understanding and truly appreciating the Bible. The author and narrator was so down to earth which is just a blessing. I never realized how fascinating the Bible is. This is one of the best purchases I ever made
