The book is more about how psychopaths hide behind pop culture, synthetic identities, such as Disney supplies to Americans en masse. The idea generalizes. People who go on vacations just to take selfies, people who virtue-signal---all of these people, the author is telling us, are psychopaths or mini-psychopaths, and occasionally one of them show his true colors, Chris Watts. Clever book.
