Good story

Overall this is a good story and one that perhaps even fans of Johnny Cash had not heard. I was very much into the story, however, the over-the-top narration reminded me of the Wayne Gale character, (played by Robert Downey, Jr.), reporting on Mickey and Mallory Knox in “Natural Born Killers”.

I love Dashiell Hammett. I remember the movie with Alan Ladd. Scenes from the movie played in my head listening to this audio.

My Favorite

Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler are my favorite all time authors. I have read and watch The Maltese Falcon countless times and even participated in a study reading group. This is my first listening to the story audibly. The performance was superb. Especially the role of Gutman. The narrator nailed Sidney Greenstreet’s performance. I’m sure I will listen to this story again and again.

Very Good

I have been listening to Mr. Thielke's motivational and Hypnotic recordings for many years. Mindful Motivation & Success Bundle is as good as any of the recordings I've previously listened to. I have been completing household projects that I have been procrastinating about for long periods of time. I wasn't consciously aware that it could have been the recording that motivated me until I was listening to the recording about procrastinating and it then dawned on me what was going on. I had to smile and pat myself on the back. The recordings are well worth the purchase price. Thank you Joel.

Nothing New

I have read many books on The Laws of Attraction and manifesting. I have never listened to an audiobook and thought it would be an improvement. This book was not. I think part of the problem was Ms. Ahmed's voice. I imagined I was listening to Siri or Alexa reading to me. I neither found the reading to be hypnotic nor subliminally successful. The message was good, mostly similar to other readings, but this book as an audio recording is better left for a reader of print material.

Interesting

I was a little confused at the beginning of listening to the Christmas stories of The Fir Tree & The Christmas Star. Not being a novice to Mr. Thiele's recordings and voice, having being put to sleep by them for many years, I wasn't sure if I was listening to a hypnosis recording or a story book. I think it was a little of both. Using headphones and following the directions to relax my body, I had to restart both stories no less than three times as I fell asleep before the stories barely began. Finally, rested and fully alert, I decided to listen to the stories, dismissing the relax instructions. I found the stories to be interesting, but more suited for juveniles. I think they would be great on Christmas Eve to listen to with children that you would like to fall asleep, so that Santa could come. The Christmas songs at the ending was very relaxing. I was not sure about the 30 some minutes of listening to a fireplace roar and crackle. In fact, during one of the listening sessions where I fell asleep, I woke up burning up with heat hearing the fireplace crackle, LOL. In conclusion, the stories were original, but I think they would be more appropriate for children.
