Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

It is more than uplifting
Revisado: 01-05-24
This story is so insightful. It starts out feeling sad.... there is a theme of suicide. The main character is very unhappy and hits a wall but then there is a twist. There is magic like The Wizard of Oz, a lot of philosophy and some physics. I do not perceive it as time travel as mentioned in other reviews. There is great perspective regarding regret and how to move on from it. This is all wrapped up in a story full of cleverness, great narration and love. I really needed this, thank you Matt Haig!

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

It seems like this should have happened....
Revisado: 01-24-23
The beginning of the story is a lot of banter, sarcasm it's developing the relationship between the main character and their sibling and living in the White House.. I didn't enjoy that as much as when the relationships became more loving. it is a romance after all. I read a review by an individual not attached to audible who stated there was no struggle in this book and it was boring /all good stories need to have a struggle......That reviewer doesn't have a very good sense of what it feels like to be gay or bisexual in this world. I'm very glad that I read this story and it's an interesting perspective makes you wonder about the Royal family and if the world is ready to embrace a scenario such as this. The struggle is real and I enjoyed this story as it is a romance novel that has a positive ending as they all should. We romance novel readers want passion and a happy ending!

Captivating yet hard work.
Revisado: 01-12-23
When I first started listening to this I didn't understand the brief reviews I'd seen that stated " oh I wish I had friends like this". I tried to stop listening to it, looked for another book. The other book I found was very stereotypical romance, shallow, ridiculous. Something had hooked me and I returned to listening to these very difficult relationships and psychological disorders of the people of this book. If you have been through abusive relationships you may not want to listen to this. They are not severe relationships yet they're unpleasant. In the end you get to see how the women help each other and get through, let go of their routine of living with and participating in abuse. There is a happy ending. The story is enlightening regarding eating disorders and recognizing abusive relationships. Also it is inspiring describing how these characters work on nurturing oneself. This book is well written and does have romance. I do not regret listening to it.

Satisfyingly sweet and heartwarming.
Revisado: 12-28-22
Well written enjoyable throughout. I really appreciated the adventures of the oldest character living her best life as is popular to say in a real way. Being an elder you can still find romance and love. You can find that the younger folks really need you as there is so much hands on living that they have not been taught. If the younger and the older can get together so much can be accomplished!

The main character seemed pretty foolish. But we can all identify with her. Fun story more about gaining self confidence than focusing on romance. Funny, nice characters, sweet ending.

Historia
You’ve heard of an Essex Girl or even a Chelsea Girl, but what about a Hounslow Girl? Definition of a Hounslow Girl: a young Muslim woman who wears hooped earrings with her headscarf and grapples with traditional values while hustling her way through urban London. The Diary of a Hounslow Girl is a bold and provocative one-person play, written and performed by Ambreen Razia. From the joys of traditional Pakistani weddings to fights on the night bus, this is a comic story of dreams, aspirations and coming of age, told through the eyes of a 16-year-old British Muslim girl.

If you have been in an abusive relationship this may light up those memories.
I did like this story. Characters are interesting, I laughed, I cried it was emotional and mostly not predictable. I needed to listen, I was sucked in.
