Sisi Aisha Johnson does a fine job in her portrayal of Aldrea, but it is disappointing that Aldrea is the only narrator in the entire Animorphs audiobook series to share narration duties and not be voiced by a unique voice artist.
Even book 47 “The Resistance” cast Mark Bramhall alongside MacLeod Andrews to play Jake’s ancestor Isaiah Fitzhenry.
What’s even more disappointing is that this decision was clearly made despite knowing that Aldrea would later appear as a narrator for The Hork-Bajir Chronicles. It would have been wonderful continuity to have Natasha Soudek give voice to the character in this story as she did in that one.
