Compelling story, well written,
Revisado: 08-11-24
At first I wasn’t convinced I liked the dramatization. When I got used to the different I really thought it went well with the story and much easier to keep track of which character was speaking. I stumbled on this writing team quite by accident with the stonewyke series and I was hooked. With this first installment of this series I was impressed buy the story, it did not have the tell tales signs of a cookie cutter story, and I particularly like the way Faith is introduced and carried through the book it is not PollyAnna religion, but faith like it is in real life.
Since Audi books are my main source of reading due to not so great eyesight I am looking forward to future installment via audio book

Lisa Wingate does not fail. She brings her characters to life that makes you feel like you are living the story with them. This book kept my attention and really wondering how she was going to type the two time periods together, nice job. I have read quite a few of Lisa’s books and just when you think she can’t do better she blows a new release out of the water. Lisa is a true story teller, she does not write to a formula but tells the story without predictable next scenes.

Dangerous Reunion Series
Revisado: 02-03-23
I am writing this review on the entire 3 book series.
I love listening to series, this series is by far the best series from any author I have read. Lynette does not “solve” the mystery at the end of each book but keeps you on the edge of your seat unable to wait to start next book and had me changing my mind on who the main villain in each book was you need to start at the beginning and read your way through. Lynette brings these novels together in a unique way, and keeps you guessing. Definitely not cookie cutter. Very enjoyable read kept me wanting to go on.

Revisado: 02-11-22
When asked what books I have read/listened to more than once I can honestly say most everything by Francine Rivers. I enjoy the audio version and print versions equally. This is another story about strong capable woman, who doesn’t need to compromise her faith.

Unnecessary
Revisado: 09-13-21
I was told a story once about a parent that told their children they couldn’t watch a particular program because of language and content. The parent went and made up a batch of brownies and added just a little dog poo to the mix, not much just maybe 1/4 tsp. When the parent went to serve the brownies he said I added just 1/4 tsp of dog poo to the mix not very much not noticeable. The reference to “the clap” in this story was unnecessary and it tainted the whole story, just like a little dog poo tainted the entire batch of brownies. A good writer can elude to something without being crass this little reference was unneeded and not welcomed. Just like the little dog poo tainted the entire batch of brownies this one crude reference left an undesirable impression.

Revisado: 06-22-16
Lauraine Snelling is as always a poignant writer whose books do not mirror each other just using different names and places, has put together another timely novel that addresses current issues of life through her characters. Though her characters have a deep faith and acknowledgement of God they seem to encounter struggles of faith in a very realistic manner .....
