Ruined a good story with politics

Holly starts out bashing President Donald Trump and people who were not willing to take an unproven vaccination. Then continues to bash half of our country throughout the book. This did not add to the story line in the least. It did, however, prove King's awful case of TDS. Considering, if it were not for President Trump pushing the vaccine through, King would not have a third of his story line. I'm speaking from a Covid vaccinated perspective who lost family and friends from Covid-19. Using this book to bash people for not taking a vaccine, proven not to prevent Covid, and not masking, also proven not to prevent catching Covid, is proof of King's prejudices. As a long time fan and avid King reader it has definitely colored my opinion of him. So sad.

I enjoyed this book very much even though I disagreed with the Author's opinion stated at the end. I should say I disagreed with some of her opinion at the end. Otherwise this is a good example on racism in our country.

I have read this book several times but having it read to me but one of my favorite narrators has been a very awesome experience. everyone needs to listen to this book can't wait to start the next one. mr. Goodell it's the right voice for Roland and he performs his part extremely well.
