A cute little story about a bunch of kids on vacation who let their imagination overtake them. I think this is the first story that has some Americans in it, which was fun, and the kids remind the listener of childhood. Good narration, too!

"Get up and punch him right in the face."

Amusing as always, Bodroghy sets the stage for a humorous look at life as a primary school student. Full of quippy one liners, it made for a great road trip listen (personal favorite was the "Get up and punch him right in the face"). Narrator was fun and upbeat. Thoroughly enjoyed!

A story of a woman who wants a baby no matter the cost. Funny, dark, satire. What's not to love? (Narrator was great, too!)

Pillow Talk

It's very Pretty Woman-esque, albeit a little more believable. The "escort" talks about her life more than she does about how she got into her specific line of work. Once she does, it's pretty entertaining and is really more of an afterthought (which adds to the comedy, imo). The narrator does a really great job, and you feel like "Vivian" is really talking to you.

Didn’t expect the ending

Good story. Kind of melancholy, though. Really didn’t expect the ending. It didn’t leave me confused per say, but definitely a cliff hanger. Liked the main characters and overall tone, good narration!

My actual favorite

I know I keep saying each one is my favorite, but this one is my ACTUAL favorite. Lol. The beginning is a bit heady, and takes a second for your brain to catch up, but once it gets going, it’s off to the races! Ending left me a little shocked. I kept trying to figure out how it was all going to end, and I was WAY off. Really really good and satisfying ending. I'm completely amazed at the narrator's ability to jump back and forth between so many accents and so quickly! Definitely recommend this one. Loved it!

Disturbing and hilarious

Made me laugh and kept me entertained. Can you really ask a book for more? The narrator's voice adds to the comedy. Definitely a laugh out loud kind of book!

One of my favorites

I get frequent migraines and I couldn’t sleep last night and this was the first thing I put on. Easy listening and good story. I found it really really funny— which I’m hoping was the point— but in a sad, bittersweet kind of way. Description was wonderful as always, and the writing is just brilliant. I love the narrator’s voice. It’s so calming and adds to the fun fantasy element that Bodroghy always has in his books.

Logical approach to the lottery

I love this book. Don't be fooled by the length; there's lots of knowledge to be learned. I actually think that the shortness of it (it's under an hour) is one of my favorite things about this book. I've listened to it probably three or four times. The advice is sound and it's a much better method than playing numbers at random.

Funny!

This is a fun little short! It's more absurdist than anything. If you like Yorgos Lanthimos and his work, you're going to like this. Bodroghy gives us 'insightful' fun little characters while poking fun at the political climate and illusion of democracy. It's silly enough to be entertaining, and satirical enough to keep you engaged. The narrator's voice was great as well; you can practically hear the sarcasm in her voice in this twisted vaudevillian tale.
