Historia
Derald Grake's pursuit of the American Dream takes a hilariously dark turn when he puts his family home on the market. But what starts as a simple real estate transaction quickly turns into a nightmare when a body is discovered under the bed. Is it a prank, or something more sinister? As Derald and his family are drawn into a web of wild accusations, bizarre mishaps, and laugh-out-loud absurdity, they find themselves at the center of an outrageous conspiracy that threatens to unravel their lives. In this twisted world, nothing is as it seems, and no one can be trusted.

What the heck was that?????
Revisado: 11-29-24
This was the worst book I have ever read in all my 65 years of reading. The story line was rediculous and the character names were even worse. The book description talked about how hilarious the book is. No, no and just a big no. At least try the audio sample before you buy the book. peel ummm

Worst voice narration ever!!!!!
Revisado: 10-03-24
I have listened to all of the Patricia Fischer series up to this one. Several have been read by different narrators, some better than others. Each book wraps up and takes you into the next one. I have invested hours in this series and want to finish it. However, I can't even begin to describe how bad the narrator for this set of books is. It was so bad I absolutely can not for the life of me figure out how it was approved for release. The books are great except for this. If I had known that when I bought them I would have read this set and then gone back to audio. Steve Higgs has written a great series of twist and turn mystery books with a diverse set of characters that make you laugh, cry and wonder what's going to happen next. Unfortunately, the narration took that away for this set.

The book might have been good except for the boring monotone of virtual voice narration. I am definitely not buying anymore books with virtual voice. Don't waste your money unless you read it yourself and not an e book.

It would have been a good book if it wasn't narrated by virtual voice. it was non-stop narration with the same boring monotone. This is absolutely the last Audible book I will ever purchase with Virtual Voice narration.

Historia
Everyone is always telling Stone Barrington that he’s too smart to be a cop, but it’s pure luck that places him on the streets in the dead of night, just in time to witness the horrifying incident that turns his life inside out. Suddenly he is on the front page of every New York newspaper and his life is hopelessly entwined in the increasingly shocking life (and perhaps death) of Sasha Nijinsky, the country’s hottest and most beautiful television anchorwoman.

Really?
Revisado: 02-22-24
Spoiler alert..... I had high hopes for this book, but it went downhill fast. Stone's character was a disappointment. He starts out as a cop who can't handle the fact that something is not right with the investigation and arrest of an innocent person by his fellow cops. Great, then he promptly forgets his moral ways by sleeping with a woman who has sex with other men and even married one, while still seeing Stone. He knows it and does it anyway. I just couldn't respect his character. I also struggled with the narrator of this book. His voice was a little to rough and growley for me.

Sickening rape scene.
Revisado: 10-30-23
The rape scene was graphic and disturbing . Totally ruined the story for me. Also, the story line about paedophiles is disturbing in it's own way. Very disappointed in this book.

Historia
Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnie’s Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasn’t shown up. Stephanie’s worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connie’s abductor. He says he will only release her in exchange for a mysterious coin that a recently murdered man left as collateral for his bail.

Ok, I'm done. I've read every Stephanie Plum book. Same old story. I want Morelli, then she sees Ranger and wants him. Enough. Pick one and start a new story line!
