What made the experience of listening to Beneath a Scarlet Sky the most enjoyable?
The story
What did you like best about this story?
I had never read anything about the last days of the war & found it interesting.
Would you be willing to try another one of Will Damron’s performances?
No, definitely not! He caressed each word as if he was reading a love sonnet, which robbed the narrative of much of its drama & although he pronounced Italian well, he could not pronounce the name Daimler ( he said the first syllable like DIME instead of DAME)
— luckily the car was distroyed & disappeared from the story before the end.

Badly red with a ridiculously affected melodramatic accent that makes it imposable to listen to. I have enjoyed hard copies of Flashman before but this was awful. Such a shame.

Anna Fields has an awful speaking voice and reads in a flat monotone. Maybe the book is exciting and well written - I shall never know; I didn?t get through 10% of it. Don?t bother buying it unless you are masochistic! Can I give it no stars?
