This is not a doom and gloom book
Revisado: 12-26-14
What did you love best about Prophecy and Modern Times?
I have read other books of the same type and normally put them down part-way in and feel an overwhelming sense of doom and gloom. This book was not at all that. It did a good job of presenting prophecy and scriptural reference, but had hope as well.
Who was your favorite character and why?
no characters in this book.
What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?
I listened to The Real Story of Christmas and really enjoyed it. He did a masterful job on this one as well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Thankfully, no. I was interested, but like I said, it didn't invoke fear or hopelessness. Instead, it was uplifting and enlightening. I will keep it around as a reference and try to find a paper copy somewhere for a quick read reference as well.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
So i didn't know the author, and so was hesitant to purchase this book. Listening to the first 30 min, I was hooked. I finished it in a little less than 2 weeks. I would recommend this to a friend. My wife has started listening to this book as well and really likes it.
What did you like best about this story?
The adventure. I like the part near the end of the chase through the desert.
Which scene was your favorite?
The chase.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I am an animal lover, so the end was hard for me. The author handled it really well. You could tell that he also loves animals.

Awesome True Crime Book!
Revisado: 08-22-14
Where does True Stories from the Files of the FBI rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Ranks in my personal top seven (top 10 is too cliche).
Who was your favorite character and why?
There aren't any characters like you would find in a novel, but one of my favorite subjects was the Barker - Karpis gang. I hadn't known of them before but I was riveted by what I learned about them.
What does Corey M. Snow bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings the story to life - you listen to the narration and become part of the story. His voice and style lend perfectly to this book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Dive into the FBI files of the individuals behind the headlines of the 1930's.
Any additional comments?
True Stories from the Files of the FBI is one of the best true crime books out there. Without over-sensationalizing anything you're immediately draw into another not-too-distant world. You're pulled into the headlines of the late 1930's as you explore the Charles Lindbergh kidnapping case that held the national attention years ago. You come away with a different perspective of the mob years as Baby Face Nelson held a grasp on Chicago. With crime running rampant you see why the FBI came to be and J. Edgar Hoover's efforts to "Clean up America".
The book moves at a good pace and keeps you entertained, but at the same time you draw comparisons to today's world. I could have read quite a bit more, Skousen left me wanting a sequel.
