Historia
The White Elephant looms large over the quaint suburban town of Willard Park: a gaudy, newly constructed behemoth of a home, it soars over the neighborhood, dwarfing the houses that surround it. When owner Nick Cox cuts down Allison and Ted Millers’ precious red maple - in an effort to make his unsightly property more appealing to buyers - their once serene town becomes a battleground. While tensions between Ted and Nick escalate, other dysfunctions abound: Allison finds herself compulsively drawn to the man who is threatening to upend her quietly organized life.

Could have been
Revisado: 06-27-19
The general plot sounded fun and intriguing, but it never developed. I was disappointed in the character development and the lack of fully developed plot. She didn’t love any of her characters enough to make them 3D. I found it sadly one note.

Not as loveable as her other characters
Revisado: 09-14-18
I found the characters lacking that trigger that makes you root for them. I never grew to like the male lead.

Narrator killed the story
Revisado: 07-29-18
Ok plot, but narrator stumbled around and lacked personality. I almost turned it off during the first chapter. I like Suzanne Brockmann’s stories, so I stuck through it to the end.

Inconsistent and uninspired

The story line was so choppy that it was painful. I couldn’t find a character to like. I feel like I fast forwarded through the ending chapters from sheer boredom.
