I love the writing. I love it takes place in the UK. I love how fast pace it is. I love how raunchy it can be. I love absolutely everything about this book. My only complaint, and why it's not 5 stars through and through. Is that I wish it was the original narrator had read the series all the way through. I did fall in love with the original narrator, I felt he read every part so perfectly and the charecters so dang well. However, I started this series listening to it on YouTube. But the videos got taken down, as happens often. Eventually I realized our Amazon plan gave me 1 free audio book a month. I was literally aching to finish reading the series. I went a while without, but I wrote down where I left off so I would remember. Then started listening to it through my Amazon music app. And now here I am at audible. The guy who I heard read the beginning of the series was definitely the best at it. I do wish he could have finished the series. But it I still deeply love the series. And am quite impressed by this narrator. It's impossible to not become utterly invested in the characters and their stories. Amazing charecter development in my opinion. I've even caught myself drawing from this series at times in my day to day life. This might sound ridiculous...but its something I've always done. Trying to emmulate myself from the strong persevering tenacious resilient overcoming determined and unyeilding characters that I've fallen in love with through stories over the years. At times when I feel weak. I will quietly think to myself things like "be strong like Dave" and, "to not give up like howie." I can draw a resolution and vehemence within myself. From the characters I love. Its just a little tool I've always kept in my back pocket. Anyways, Its a great book. Fantastic series. Right up my ally. I could go on and on about how much I love it, truly.
