Have to say I loves it!

I throughly enjoyed this book. I got a little irritated at the narrators a few times; I felt the inflections did not match what my imagination conjured at times. The overall performance was good. BUT, dang, altogether great story!! Definitely food for thought at some points. The epilogue had me in tears 😢 😭

Great Series!!!

I really enjoyed this series a lot! I would recommend it to any fan of sci-fi romance. I was hesitant because it is all male romance/relationship(MMM) and I was not sure that was my jam, but the humor and performance was addicting!! All three books were great. I wish that there was a fourth book... I want more 😢 Bravo 👏 👏 The performance was exceptional. The writing and story were original and thoroughly enjoyable!!!

I think I would skip this one....

So this story is a dark, suspense romance of sorts. Overall, it is just depressing and the ending is, well, unnecessary. Majority of the characters are f-ed up, rich, diluted, entitled creeps. A lot of the book is going back and forth from memories of past to the present time. I felt highly irritated at times and then when I finally got a gist of what was happening the plaot was relatively obvious. The female lead was too obsessed with the male lead, too. Maybe I am am being harsh, but I would not recommend. IF you do listen, listen at 1.5 speed or something because WHOA it could get slow at times.

Great Conclusion

This series was good overall. The ending a gut-puncher for a while there, at least for me. I think I cried three times. Ridiculous. Lots of actions in think book. I think the author and the narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life and allowing the listeners to connect with the storyline. Great conclusion to the series. 👏 Bravo 👏

This was unlike any other Ruby Dixon book that I've listened to so far. She is one of my favorite authors to enjoy. I like the story. The characters are amazing. There were definitely multiple layers in this "onion." There was humor, manipulation, deceit, famine, war, depression, sex, betrayal, plague, a couple, etc. Beautiful world and character building. I loved the main characters love story and overall connection; however, I felt like there was a sadness to this book. It did end nicely though. I would recommend it to a Ruby Dixon fan

Enjoyable. New twist on cyborgs

Definitely a new twist oncyborg stories. These stories involve high bread cyborgs that are crossed with animals. This particular book involves a cyborg that is mixed with a spider in addition to be part human. Overall, unique twist. Not my favorite book, but I would still would recommend.

Sweet Romance. Does Not Have to Listened to First. Arguably a Standalone.

I read/listened to this book last out of several consecutive books within this series. It was listed as Book 0.5 of the series and did not have a summary of the storyline, so I was skeptical. I was not disappointed by going back to Book 0.5 after listening to a handful of the Books by any means. This series overall is a good listen. Some books I preferred more than others, naturally. Nevertheless, "Forbidden Letters" is actually based off an in-story novel that is mentioned throughout the series starting in Book 1. It tells a tale of a man and a woman on two different sides of the wall (country divide) that fall in love. This book eventually becomes banned by the governing council because it inspired romantic ideas and perceived harmful activities (i.e. wanting relationships with Northman, boarder jumping, etc). Book 0.5 Forbidden Letters tells the tale of how that novel came to be written. Overall, charming love story.

Love the Character Building. Narration is Lackluster.

I really enjoy this series, but this particular narrator (Ja'air Bush) is definitely not my favorite. I had listened to one of her narrations before and really struggled, but her solo performance was much easier to handle than previous duet. Ruby Dixon did a great job building the characters and concluding the Spidae's story. I would recommend the story, but not so much the performance.
