Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Disappointing. Unlikeable characters and poor dialogue.
Revisado: 04-26-24
I delayed ready Andy Weir’s second book after seeing some of the negative reviews. I liked Hail Mary so much, I decided to try listen to Artemis. Hard to believe this was written by the same author. The story line is good, but the heroine is unlikeable and not believable. I actually was hoping she would get caught.
While Weir’s other books are lightly peppered with swearing (and fit the narrative), Artemis is bogged down with them to the point of distraction. Perhaps in print it’s not so annoying.
I can only assume Weir was in a rush to get a book out after the success of the Martian.

I had bought Hannah’s 3rd book and enjoyed it, but this was a slog to get through. I was a captive audience as I have the flu.
I get waiting for it to get better. It didn’t.

Strap yourself in. You’re in for a fascinating trip!
I was a little reluctant to enter into a “Christian Psychological Thriller”. Wasn’t sure what it entailed. But I’m glad I did.
Absolutely one of my top 10 reads.
You’ll learn a lot about the lead character Clay and even more about yourself through this beautifully written book. And what a bonus—the light of the Lord shines through it.
Also, Kudos to the reader. He does a great job. He presents the story just as it should be presented.
And something else to look forward to. The author’s second book just came out. Can’t wait for it to be available onAudible.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Historia
The most gorgeously theatrical of all Dickens's novels, Nicholas Nickleby follows the delightful adventures of a hearty young hero in 19th-century England. Nicholas, a gentleman's son fallen upon hard times, must set out to make his way in the world. His journey is accompanied by some of the most swaggering scoundrels and unforgettable eccentrics in Dickens's pantheon.

Simon Vance excels in this recording. He has Mrs. Nickleby to a tea! And all the other characters (except maybe Newman Noggs).
If you like Dickens, listen to this!!

Historia
Deciphering an ancient alchemy book is more difficult than Zoe Faust bargained for. She'd much rather be gardening and exploring her new hometown of Portland, Oregon - but time is running out for living gargoyle Dorian Robert-Houdin. If Zoe isn't able to unlock an unusual alchemy book's secrets soon, the French gargoyle will remain awake but trapped in stone forever.

This has been a good companion for me and my fever!
Nothing too complicated and pleasant characters.
The narrator Julia Motyka is absolutely first rate. Her French accent is really good.
