Historia
Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

Historia
Melody is not like most people. She cannot walk or talk, but she has a photographic memory; she can remember every detail of everything she has ever experienced. She is smarter than most of the adults who try to diagnose her and smarter than her classmates in her integrated classroom - the very same classmates who dismiss her as mentally challenged because she cannot tell them otherwise. But Melody refuses to be defined by cerebral palsy.

Wonderful Book, Beautiful Lesson
Revisado: 01-28-20
I read this with my kids 10 & 11 for homeschool literature program. It was an amazing book and we throughly enjoyed the book. I even found curriculum online and created a final project for kids to complete a project researching a person with a disability and how they have overcome any barriers they have faced.

Beautifully written
Revisado: 05-31-18
We used this for a literature unit for my 2nd and 3rd grade homeschoolers. It took a few chapters for the kids to get into it but after that they were hooked. It is a beautiful story about rising above disaster, growing within ourselves, and resiliency.
Highly recommended!

Eye Opening
Revisado: 01-23-17
A must read for those parents struggling with bed wetting. It truly helped me be more patient and encouraging to my 8 year old son. We have already seen some improvements within a week. Bedwetting is a big struggle for many but so little resources exist with practical help. Definitely recommend this book!

Historia
On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold walked into Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Over the course of minutes, they would kill 12 students and a teacher and wound 24 others before taking their own lives. For the last 16 years, Sue Klebold, Dylan's mother, has lived with the indescribable grief and shame of that day. How could her child, the promising young man she had loved and raised, be responsible for such horror? And how, as his mother, had she not known something was wrong?

Insightful Read
Revisado: 11-28-16
Sue Klebold shares her heartbreaking story of her son and the many struggles she endured along the way. A mother who loves her son but is deeply pained by her sons' actions as so many of us find ourselves at some point or another. A woman so transparent, brave yet broken hearted. I will forever be thoughtful when encountering situations that we have no insight into from the outside. We don't know everyone's story and we should never place blame without seeing the whole picture.
