Read painstakingly slowly

I didn't think it was humanly possible to read a slowly as the narrator. Need to set it to about 1.7 time. It really was very distracting.

Since there are many versions of Little Woman to choose from, and no reviews of this performance, I took a chance. Susie Berneis did not disappoint. She did a fine job. Consistent, steady, expressive. She captured all of the characters very well. No complaints. Recommend this performance.

Best performance of a great novel

Review of the performance

There are several adaptations of The Age of Innocence available on Audible, and before purchasing this one, I spent some time reading reviews, focusing on the performance reviews. Most adaptations had mixed performance reviews. Although there were no reviews of this version, I decided to give it a try. Susie Berneis does a fine job reading this novel. Although the accent of Madame Olenska is very faint (none existent sometimes), I thought that it was appropriate for the character. She does a good job with the male voices and a very good job with May Welland. Was pleased with this purchase.

Excellent narrator. Loved all of his voices.

You could listen to it in one sitting, but better to savor.
