“I will find you in another life.” 😭
I’ll be honest, YA is not my usual pick. However, this book totally blew me away. I read while also listening to the audiobook for a fully immersive experience. I’ve never listened to an audiobook narrated by the author before, but I really loved this one. Something about listening to how the author wrote it is actually really amazing.
Without any spoilers, this book is a partly sad but wholesome reminder that come what may, we’ll all be okay eventually.

Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal - they may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds.

Feels a bit rushed
Revisado: 02-25-24
I enjoyed the book very much but I’m giving it 4 stars because the endings (this book and book 1) feel so rushed for such long books. The main characters spend 90% of the book discovering small pieces to several mismatched puzzles, and then in the final few chapters the evil villain comes in with a monologue to solve them all.
Also, can anyone tell me how in a place that is clearly swarming with prying eyes and ears that NO ONE managed to discover that Bryce had found Emile? A boy that LITERALLY EVERYONE is desperate to find 🙈

Historia
Bryce Quinlan had the perfect life-working hard all day and partying all night - until a demon murdered her closest friends, leaving her bereft, wounded, and alone. When the accused is behind bars but the crimes start up again, Bryce finds herself at the heart of the investigation. She'll do whatever it takes to avenge their deaths. Hunt Athalar is a notorious Fallen angel, now enslaved to the Archangels he once attempted to overthrow. His brutal skills and incredible strength have been set to one purpose - to assassinate his boss' enemies, no questions asked.

Such a great listen! Can’t wait to start the next book in the series.
Hunt and Bryce are my new favorite duo!
