I was Immediately swept into the life, mind, culture and world of tea! Instead of a death, the story seemed to be centered around life, past and present, of all characters. Vera’s acute ability to read people and pairing teas set the tone. She was indeed a strong Asian mother who shared loneliness and uncertainty of the future with the others. Vera and their culture served as a bubbling catalyst. The characters blossomed as the Chrysanthemum tea.
