Historic
Revisado: 04-19-24
This was a gentle, historic look at Mr. West’s years in the White House. In this era of the tendency to “deliver the dirt” this respectful, discreet peek into the behind-the-scenes account of history was calm, polite and refreshing.

Historia
Reporter Hudson Ambrose hears an early morning call on his police scanner about an injured person at a bus stop on Las Vegas Boulevard and rushes to the scene. His world is blown off its axis when he discovers a murdered homeless man with a bankbook in his pocket showing a balance of almost one million dollars. Should Hudson wait for the police, knowing the case will get lost in reams of red tape, or swipe the bankbook and take the investigation - and perhaps a chunk of the money - into his own hands?

Riveting
Revisado: 12-05-23
The story itself was gripping and kept us thoroughly engaged. The only criticism is that at the start of each chapter it was difficult to ascertain who was doing the talking. If a chapter title could have been given it would have been a little easier to follow.

Historia
August 1939: London is dismal under the weight of impending war with Germany as Hitler’s forces continue to sweep across Europe. Into this uncertain maelstrom steps Grace Bennett, young and ready for a fresh start in the bustling city streets she’s always dreamed of - and miles away from her troubled past in the countryside. With aspirations of working at a department store, Grace never imagined she’d wind up employed at Primrose Hill, an offbeat bookshop nestled in the heart of the city - after all, she’s never been much of a reader.

Perfection
Revisado: 06-30-22
This was a riveting, warm-hearted, stirring account of ordinary people living extraordinary lives during WW II. It was perfection.
