Historia
Fionna's only hope to save her family lies across the Irish Sea. As a warrior princess of Ulster, the rival clan holding her father and sister for ransom knows she'll pay any price to get them back. But even she couldn't predict the task set before her - to steal a faerie sword from a king. The Kingdom of Caerleon is dying under Morgan le Fay's dark magic. Her vengeful curse has locked Excalibur in its scabbard, placing Arthur Pendragon's kingship in jeopardy. Now Arthur and his sword brothers have one hope. The fifth knight. The one foretold by Merlin who will break the curse.

Arthur Retelling why choose
Revisado: 12-27-24
I very much enjoy Arthurian retelling. The story it self is overall enjoyable but not one of my favorites, though I will be continuing the series. The audiobook voices are not my cup of tea, I think there could have been better narrators.
We have action, betrayal, love and why choose with Fiona and the other knights. Finding the Holy Grail with five is a nice touch along with “ Guinevere” being a term for a witch.

Historia
Radcliffe Prep. The third most haunted school in the country, where a student disappearance isn’t uncommon and no one dares stay in the library after dark. And Este Logano enrolls with the hopes of finding her dead father. Not literally, of course. Going to her dad’s school just seems like her best hope at figuring out who he was. But then Este meets Mateo, who is maybe—probably—definitely—a real ghost. And an annoying one at that. When Mateo frames Este for the theft of a rare book from the library’s secret spire and then vanishes, Este will have to track him down or risk being expelled.

True storyteller
Revisado: 12-12-24
The audible made reading this twice as good (I went back and forth between reading the book and listening). The narrator is honestly so good for this story. The accent just accentuated listening to the main character, like she was really telling the story. It reads like a fairytale and the contrast between dark and light was well done. This is the first of Novik books I finished and if her others read similar she deserves the hype around her.

Historia
When Britt, a modern young woman, is pulled by a magical summons back through time she finds herself smack in the middle of the schemes of the surprisingly young and handsome wizard Merlin. Britt has no interest in the throne, and she definitely doesn't want to pretend she is the legendary King Arthur, but Merlin has some bad news.

Time Travel and King Arthur?!
Revisado: 08-13-24
I loved this series. Low stakes fantasy (compared to most) with clean subtle romance. We all know the King Arthur legend - I enjoyed the gender switch to give it a new level. The books really take the relationship between all characters into account which is one of the main points and is well done- I enjoyed reading the development between the king and her knights. While I normally like more to the romance of a book this was so well done I didn’t mind the subtlety. The ending!!!! I’ll be honest - I went to the end half way through book 7 just to know how it ended - and I’m so happy!!!!!😆
