Historia
Celehar’s life as the Witness for the Dead of Amalo grows less isolated as his circle of friends grows larger. He has been given an apprentice to teach, and he has stumbled over a scandal of the city—the foundling girls. Orphans with no family to claim them and no funds to buy an apprenticeship. Foundling boys go to the Prelacies; foundling girls are sold into service, or worse. At once touching and shattering, Celehar’s witnessing for one of these girls will lead him into the depths of his own losses. The love of his friends will lead him out again.

superb piece of a brilliant series
Revisado: 02-02-23
The narrator should have hold back with the sore throat voices for the mc, despite this little inconvenience it is a superb piece of a brilliant series. I am in love with the world / language/ characters.

Course book for 4th grade, elementary
Revisado: 12-27-22
This is a perfect course book for children about how to start and run a business. It’s descriptive, detailed and fun and this is for nine year olds.
If it’s written for adults, please consider the plotline’s promise: an ork , veteran soldier, opens a coffee shop, alongside hires a succubus as an assistant.
Promise A : this should involve some orkish, succubusish blundering, magic & mayhem , lots of fun Or
Promise B : this should be a political/social satire in Terry Pratchett Discworld fashion and offers lots of fun
And here’s the surprise , we receive solution C:
veteran soldier opens a coffee shop, alongside hires an assistant completely without A & B & any fun.
Audiobook narration:
Female main characters & male narrator ( even if he’s the author) equals: Transvestite Diva drag queen No1 opens a coffee shop, alongside hires an assistant, transvestite diva drag queen No2
Advice for latecomers : please be warned, this is an over over over hyped book, offering coziness, fuzziness, heartwarming pinky rainbows in the reviews, but provides a business course book for nine-year-olds. But as a course book it’s genius. I truly hope it will be used in elementary education.

Emery Blackwood’s life changed forever the night her best friend was found dead and the love of her life, August Salt, was accused of murdering her. Years later, she is doing what her teenage self swore she never would: living a quiet existence on the misty, remote shores of Saoirse Island and running the family’s business, Blackwood’s Tea Shoppe Herbal Tonics & Tea Leaf Readings. But when the island, rooted in folklore and magic, begins to show signs of strange happenings, Emery knows that something is coming.

Should’ve been a novella
Revisado: 12-25-22
It’s a cozy mystery, old crime with magic involved, that is what the blurb promised, and that is what I received. The narration was enjoyable, that helped me through the story, which is rather a novella expanded to a novel length with some struggle. There is an island separated from the world, a girl died some years ago, the murderer escaped and came back. Long long sighs and anguish through endless hours, and finally, in the last hour of the audiobook receive the solution, and the closure. Finally! As I couldn’t have endured another hour for sure.

Historia
When two Niveus Private Academy students, Devon Richards and Chiamaka Adebayo, are selected to be part of the elite school’s senior class prefects, it looks like their year is off to an amazing start. After all, not only does it look great on college applications, but it officially puts each of them in the running for valedictorian, too. Shortly after the announcement is made, though, someone who goes by Aces begins using anonymous text messages to reveal secrets about the two of them that turn their lives upside down and threaten every aspect of their carefully planned futures.

I feel disappointed
Revisado: 05-03-22
I don’t know what I expected but certainly not what I got. I hoped to read / listen a fast paced thriller something about a matter which is very current still exist and there is no solution so far that is bullying. It sounded interesting that we will get 2 points of view, one is a popular school queen’s and the other is a loner’s. I was truly curious how the two MCs will deal with the problem and whether they can find a solution or some release. For me there were no release, no solution and no fast paced plot line, but a never-ending agonising after a looong agonising then sudden cut and end. There were ultra evil characters and super good guys including a constant crybaby with long-long inner monologues and nothing in between. All in all I feel disappointed and mourn the lost opportunities.

Shakespeare and anguish
Revisado: 04-25-22
Shakespeare Shakespeare Shakespeare hysteria anguish Shakespeare Shakespeare hysteria anguish aaaand Shakespeare. Do yourself a favour and read it do not listen, so you can escape the endless quotes. It was like a Disney movie with characters burst into cheerpy monologues in every 3 minutes. I can honestly say it was the longest 10 hours of my life.

Spooky but thoroughly enjoyable.
Revisado: 01-02-22
I loved the narration, the mistery around High Place, the monstrosity slowly revealing itself. I loved best Noemí, who had courage and rational thinking no matter what. Go girl! More MC like her, please! Only reason for four score is that horror is not my genre at all.

Missing students, layer upon layer mystery, I enjoyed it tremendously. 13 hours flow away. Three timelines with three narrators and enigma became more enigmatic chapter by chapter.

Superb narration, gripping fast paced story. I will definitely reread and re-listen it many more times. Emperor versus rebels, Star Wars feeling all in good way.
