Great Introduction to Accounting

This book covers the basics of accounting in a very detailed and understandable way. Many accounting books do not spend enough time covering the basics. This book lays a good accounting fundamental foundation that is helpful for new learners and a good reminder for anybody in the accounting field.

Very comrehensive and helpful
This book is basically compilation of previous books, which is nice because it puts all the accounting topics of the accounting cycle in one audiobook. Each component of the accounting cycle is very comprehensive. It is helpful for me to listen to the process as a supplement to learning the material and as a reference and reminder I can go back to.
The PDF file that comes with the course is also helpful for following along and getting a visual.

I like that the book focuses on a specific area of financial accounting rather than trying to cover the entire topic in one book.
The adjusting journal entries process has been one of the more difficult topics to understand for me. The book goes through each journal entry in a step by step way.
This book also has a supplemental PDF file that can be very useful to visualize the processes. I like listening to these audiobooks to supplement my learning and get a better understanding of accounting topics.

Although it is possible to read financial statements without a full understanding of how they are constructed, and it is possible to work in an accounting department performing accounting tasks including data entry, without fully understanding debits and credits, it is not possible to have a complete understanding of the financial statements or financial accounting without an understanding of transactions recorded using debits and credits.

This book helped me understand debits and credits much faster. I’m a person who learns well from hearing, and this book explained the concept of debits and credits in detail, as well as the process for recording them.
The audiobook goes into detail about how to record each transaction and why. It gives very thorough steps to making each transaction which makes the process much easier.
I don’t think an audiobook can replace working problems to learn debits and credits, but it has supplemented my learning process a lot.
