This could have been an amazing story but it jumped around too quickly from the past to the present. I had a hard time following the story for the main characters. It was very choppy and seemed to be missing a lot of key pieces to the storylines.

Ahh-mazing, gripping, edge-of-your-seat story! KS holds nothing back. You feel every intense moment, every heartache, every victory. I thought I had read all of the WT books to date. Somehow I missed this one and boy am I glad I decided to "reread" the set 5-7 again. I can't wait to "reread" books 6 & 7.

Nice Read

The book kept me engaged. It's a solid read with a good story. The ending was a little too neat and I was expecting more but that's okay. The narrator has good skills navigating the male to female and back again conversations. At first I found her voice irritating but it grew on me especially when she was speaking as one of the other characters.

The narrators were fantastic! I loved the characters but Kal was a little too sappy for me. Nevertheless, it was still a great romance story. It made me laugh, cringe, and smile.

I love KS’s Grant County and Will Trench series, but this book is one of her best!! It took me a minute to get into the characters (because they are new) but boy once I did it was worth it!!

BEST ONE YET!!

I love Ms. Slaughter’s Grant County and Will Trent series! She is a phenomenal writer and her books are excellent. The level of medical, criminal, and forensic details she includes is second to none. Specific enough to educate readers but not distract from the stories, which are excellent!

I feel like I know Will, Sarah, Faith, Amanda, and even Angie personally. Ms. Slaughter successfully balances and integrates their personal and professional lives so their actions and interactions make sense!

I just love her books!

ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES!!

I have read all but one of the DI Stone books and I ABSOLUTELY love this one! The dynamic between Kim and Leanne is hilarious. Larson's continues to develop the relationship between Kim’s team, Stacey, Bryant, and Keen. I love getting a quick peek into their personal lives but not to much that it district's from the storyline or becomes to convoluted with multiple subplots and characters. There are just enough main characters to complete the story and demonstrate the relationships between the characters. The fact that each one brings a different skillset to the team and Kim is the glue that holds them together, but also genuinely cares about them, always warms my heart. Bravo, Ms. Marson’s you have done it again.

Perfect Read

One of the best audios I have ever read. The story is engaging from the beginning. You are immediately involved in the characters’ lives and how the results of the podcast will affect them. The story develops at a great pace and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. I love the narrators and Dakota Fanning is supreme as the lead! I was surprised by one aspect of the ending and I am looking forward to the next cold case open podcast.

A true surprise!!

Great book. Lots of twists and turns. Some of the subplots didn’t make sense or tie into the main story as much as HC wanted them to. They almost seemed unnecessary but the ending brought the pieces together nicely. At the end, the reader understood the importance of Corey’s role and why it was pivotal to the story and what happens next. Lots of misdirection, but the story will have you wondering, who? Thinking, why, and asking WFH?

I love the Faith M series!! Each book gets better and better. I could not put this one down!! I have become a big fan of LynnDee Walker and I can hardly wait for her next book: ether Nichelle or Faith!!!
