The secrets in this book will change you.
Revisado: 01-06-22
Lots of the principles give in this book we have seen in our day to day lives and have read in other books. But this was the original book of its kind. Techniques I have used for years were here. Some things I knew but never knew how to execute. This helped clear that up. If you are a good person, this book will make you a great person.

Historia
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Extraordinary Average
Revisado: 07-28-21
First off I would like to say, 3 stars isn't bad. It's average. Just like most people's jobs, coffee, meals, etc. they mostly enjoy everyday.
Secondly, I respect every form of art. The stories, music, paintings, etc. of humanity will forever impress me and get my full admiration. . . with that said.
I found this book to be average. The narrator is amazing, the attention to detail in the story is great but nothing extraordinary happened. No big fights or particularly hard challenges were introduced. In the end, everything happened as it should. . . with nothing really to do with the main characters, who were fun and wacky.
All in all, I couldn't stop listening. I wanted to know the choice made in the end by Adam. It was a good listen. . . and overall a good listen was probably part of the author's "ineffable" plan.

In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

"And now for the nose on microphone trick!"
Revisado: 08-14-18
I love this autobiography. Especially since its read by the author. I read the book first but love to hear authors, especially autobiographies, read their own work. You hear the parts they really were excited about in life and sometimes bonuses like Steve Martin playing his banjo in the beginning of each chapter. You dont get much about his big fame life. It's more of the struggles of his beginning life as a stand up comedian. The reason I give 4 stars for story is cause he starts going into detail about so and so house he stayed at, who he was dating then all of a sudden not dating. Without googling, I wouldn't know who his wife is or if he even had one. But I guess that's not the point of the book and the glimpse into his mind is awesome in itself. Thank you for everything Steve Martin.
PS. Did you know he invented the long extend "Excuse Me" that people still use till this day? You didn't? Well EXCUUUUUUUUSE ME!

Historia
Like nearly one in five people, Matt Haig suffers from depression. Reasons to Stay Alive is his inspiring account of how, minute by minute and day by day, he overcame the disease with the help of reading, writing, and the love of his parents and his girlfriend (now wife), Andrea. And eventually, he learned to appreciate life all the more for it. Everyone's lives are touched by mental illness; if we do not suffer from it ourselves, then we have a friend or loved one who does.

A good look into another human's soul
Revisado: 07-21-18
This is a great book for anyone struggling through depression. Not because it has guaranteed fixes or reliable coping tips, because it doesn't.. no book does, but it gives a peek into another person's view of their depression. A description closely relating to anyone going through depression and to read/hear first hand that we arent the only ones who feel this way. Truly feel depression and that it can get better. Not permanently fixed.... but better.

Jordan Peterson puts into prospective day to day struggles we have as a social into 12 simple rules but each with complex meaning. My favorites are Rule #8 (Tell the Truth. . .or, at least, don't lie) and Rule #11 (Don't Bother Children While They Are Skateboarding). Definitely a great book for anyone. Period.

This is a history on Memory, not how to improve it
Revisado: 03-11-18
I picked this book up in hopes of learning techniques on how to have a better memory. It turned out to be an Autobiography about Joshua Fore on his year of training for the US memory championship. This book also give a unique perspective on the history of memory and Josh's interviews with memory elites. This may all sound boring but Josh's story telling skills and the narrator great narration give for an story I actually enjoyed, despite not learning very many tricks on memory improvement. Hardwork seems to be the key to everything, even having a good memory. This book gave me revelations about us as people that I would have never made if never reading it. Good book. Would recommend for a different read if your looking for something interesting.

This book is a great tool for anyone struggling with a plan, goal or vision they have for their future. It put alot of thing Into prospective for me with great exercises that get the vision more laser focused. The book is both written by and narrated by Lewis Howe. He does a great job in narrating. It's his book, so he invokes passion in his words he wrote for us. Listen to the book and buy the book. It's a Manuel that needs reviewing every once and a while. It's a textbook and a class every public school should teach. You won't regret it.

If your looking to have for the formula to being financially free... this is not the book. But it give you good insight on what and where to start looking. Great tips by Robert from his rich dad and why we grow up with the way we view money. It's more of a story on how he got on the path of financial freedom and why you should too. Great book with great start up tips. Looking forward to using my mind and time, my most valuable assets, to make money work for me. Not me work for money.

You want to excel in team building and company development... this is the book.
Revisado: 01-26-18
This book was so informational about how to build an all star team and keep the momentum going. It hits issues from start ups to Scandals to how to let go of employees the right way. The narrator is better than average. Not too dull but not too exciting. But the content on this book is so good, it compensated. This book is for anyone who is: in a management position, starting a company, or just about anyone who plans to run a group of people someday for any reason. I liked the examples they give to put prospective on ideas they give. Will be listening again to catch any important info I missed the first time around.
