There's something different about reading the words on the page, then listening to the audiobook. I have a new found appreciation for Jolie's books now. The narrators really brought Skye and Artair to life, and it's actually quite nice for me to put voices to the characters. It helps bring them to life, to give the characters more of a form in my mind. I can see the scenes more clearly now, and I love this. I'm not usually one to listen to audio books, but Jolie may be converting me to listening to more. The story was such a good one, and now that it's in audiobook form, I love it even more.

I am not usually one who listens to audiobooks. I choose to read either a paperback or ebook and enjoy words printed on the page. But when I was given the opportunity to listen to Defiant, something inside told me to give it a chance. From the opening I was hooked. The narrators were chosen perfectly and drew me into the story. I could practically see Rafe and Shelby in front of my eyes, and listening to their voices just made it that much better. I enjoyed the story, the connection between Rafe and Shelby. Sara has never disappointed in her writing, and this is no exception. I think that I will start to listen to more audiobooks...especially if this is something that I can look forward to.
