I loved the idea of scientists as main characters. The characters and dialogue are interesting, for sure. And the story isn’t bad, but I would have skipped it knowing it wasn’t going to have an actual “end”.
It also seems there’s a lot of build up and foreshadowing to things that never actualize.
If there will be a sequel, I may read it and change my review. Otherwise, I can’t recommend this one.

Merlin Sheldrake reads his own book, which makes a very personal experience for the listener, as you can hear his own awe of his subject as clearly as if you were in a shared conversation on the topic.

The book, for me, not only deeply answers questions and gives an understanding of the community living in soils under our feet, but offers a glimpse into the future of what the study of mycology could look like if more people followed their own wonder into the science allowing us to push the frontier into meaningful, potentially earth saving applications.

I don’t think anyone who reads / hears Entangled Life could go back to seeing the world as they did before…. it being now a distinctly more magical place.

This truly enchanting tale of Vishnu and Lakshmi’s mortal lives on earth is one lesson after another about love. Interwoven with mythological figures such as Hanuman, the humble and powerful monkey god and his innocent heart, Lakshman the devoted brother of Ram, and Sita as the embodiment of the divine feminine, the reader gets a glimpse into the wealth that is Indian folklore.
