Historia
The world knows Lamar Odom as a two-time NBA world champion who rocketed to uncharted heights of fame thanks to being a member of both the storied Los Angeles Lakers and the ubiquitous Kardashian empire. But who is Lamar, really? Fans have long praised his accessibility and genuine everyman quality - he is a blinding talent who has suffered a series of heartaches, setback, and loss.

I like Lamar for most part besides his run in with Cuban. Exposing dirty laundry was un called for. Especially from an overpaid shit player at the time

The definitive account of the O. J. Simpson trial, The Run of His Life is a prodigious feat of reporting that could have been written only by the foremost legal journalist of our time. First published less than a year after the infamous verdict, Jeffrey Toobin's nonfiction masterpiece tells the whole story, from the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman to the ruthless gamesmanship behind the scenes of "the trial of the century".

Weird fetish of calling people pudgy and discrediting Ojs intelligence
Revisado: 05-05-24
This guy is the guy who jerked off on a zoom call? His book is full of sanctimonious nonsense. The way he describes people in the book makes me cringe. He seems to have a fascination with Ron Goldman because he was young and buff. He fat shames people through out the book as well. The truth of the case is there was plenty of evidence that makes reasonable doubt. He seems to not care about reasonable doubt and doesn’t really even go over Barry’s time dissecting evidence. A YouTube video has it at over hour. seems like a biased perspective from a privileged white. Also, no back story what so ever on OJs motive and the killings of 2 of Ron Goldman s co workers for likely drug related crimes. It’s okay he’s buff and young. Weird guy. Makes sense the author was caught jerking off on a zoom call. Also no information on Ojs 3 million payday In jail for signing autos and the total cost of the lawyers I. Sick to think someone who jerks off on work calls can write books . Lock this man up! And send him some muscle magazine pictures

He is considered by many the greatest basketball player ever produced by the hoops-crazy state of Kentucky. In two years at the University of Kentucky, he scored over 1,000 points, led the Wildcats to a Sweet Sixteen appearance and was nicknamed “King Rex.” The first player ever drafted by the Charlotte Hornets, he spent twelve seasons in the NBA, dazzling in dunk contests and sinking one of the most memorable buzzer-beaters in league history. But by the end of his career, Rex Chapman was harboring a destructive secret.

Nothing special. Annoying liberal snowflake
Revisado: 04-25-24
Sanctimonious man who thinks he knows everything. Half the book is condemning racism and his hate for trump. Just upsets me listening to someone who thinks they know everything. His outrage for people who didn’t support his inter racial relationship is comical. He talks about all the women he bedded during their relationship. The man is a felon

Historia
Ty Cobb is baseball royalty, maybe even the greatest player who ever lived. His lifetime batting average is still the highest of all time, and when he retired in 1928, after twenty-one years with the Detroit Tigers and two with the Philadelphia Athletics, he held more than ninety records. But the numbers don't tell half of Cobb's tale. The Georgia Peach was by far the most thrilling player of the era: "Ty Cobb could cause more excitement with a base on balls than Babe Ruth could with a grand slam," one columnist wrote.

Some new details and info but not good enough
Revisado: 03-29-24
Seems like author is trying to hard to make Cobb look like a terrible beauty and save him from the racist narrative. He tries and I guess kinda succeeds with painting Cobb as a less evil man than many. What disappoints me is his lack of detail or concern about cobbs relationship with his wife, his kids and even the 3rd World Series he played in. There really isn’t any detail about Cobb carrying a gun and he tries so hard to make Cobb look not like a antagonist but fails. For example: he didn’t spike people. Okay well he spiked people here and there or 3 people. He tries to make Cobb more of a protagonist and I don’t think he really did. The more I research Cobb. Just not enough info on Cobb as a character and him trying to validate Cobb as a person. Was he a peak racist during the time. Maybe not. Likely no more or less a racist than anyone else. Did he sharpen spikes to hurt people? Debatable but you better not be in his way. I get it. But what about him beating up wife? His relationship with his gun? More details on him traveling to World Series against pirates because of criminal charge. Stumps book is more entertaining and honestly paints Cobb as more of a legendary figure than this book imho. I just think he fails at his arguments

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

As the head coach of the University of Alabama's football team, Nick Saban is perhaps the most influential - and controversial - man in the sport. Unpredictable in his professional loyalties, uncompromising in his vision, and unyielding in his pursuit of perfection, the highest-paid coach in college football has changed the face of the game. His program-building vision has delivered packed stadiums, rabid fans, legions of detractors, countless NFL draft picks, and a total of four championships.

Nasty nasty nasty
Revisado: 12-07-23
Some new insights in Fred trump son by a nasty privileged women (Fred trump(brother) niece. She is as nasty as they come and contradicts herself at every turn. Her grandfather gave her a silver spoon but claims Donald is a loser since his father helped him take over the Trump organization. What got my blood boiling was how Donald and ivana would give this nasty women gifts, call her sweet names and even help find a venue for her 16th birthday. She scoffed at it all and wanted more. Glad she was disowned by her rich grandfather and can’t believe women like her exist .

Good but don’t really get a taste of who Hershey was as man
Revisado: 09-12-23
Good performance, well written book on the gilded age but I didn’t really get a taste of who Milton Hershey was as a person. A recent review said it talked a lot about the gilded age and such but understanding who Milton Hershey was as a person was lacking imho. It wasn’t like he didn’t try to get that info to us but I didn’t really taste it. At the end of book, I didn’t even know what Milton would have done in regards to the 2002 buyout with wrigley. Even though, the question was. What would Milton do
